I brought my old clock in I was told it was a 100 years old it was actually just like the photos on his photos website he said it would take @ a month it actually took a little over 2 months the clock was @ 12 inches high it's been @ a month now and still works good he has well over 100 clocks that need repair so don't expect to get it back anytime soon his shop is a mess clocks everywhere on the floor, tables everywhere he charged me $ 100.00 for the repair but after decades of not working it's fine now.

I don't doubt David's knowledge about clocks. Truth is, I did get our clock back. But it took over two years. For sure, part of that length of time is on me (as many months went by without me checking in), but never did I once get a call about the status. The only way I got updates was when I went to the shop. I went once several weeks after first dropping it off. He said I'd get a call when it was ready. Our busy lives kept me from checking in again until about three months ago. I went in and he told me he was working on it and would get back to me in two days. I heard nothing. Went in again and got the same message (he'd call me). Several days more, nothing. Two more times I went in and finally got it the second time. Charged me $80 (I thought I might get a discount for such a long time). Perhaps that amount is normal, I don't know. But be prepared for the possibility of poor communication and no certain timetable for when your clock will be fixed.

Our 40 year old mantle clock was in need of repair. I did some research and decided the Clock Shop sounded like the right place. We traveled a good distance to drop the clock off, and I'm glad we did. The owner was up front about the possibilities of what the clock might need and the cost. He had the clock for a few weeks and repaired it perfectly. This is a true artisan who loves his work. If you're in a hurry for the work to be done, this may not be the place for you, but if you want it done properly, he's your man. I highly recommend!
