I recently took my beloved dog to Petco for grooming, and unfortunately, it was an experience I never expected. When I picked up my dog after her appointment, I was shocked to find her paw bleeding. Distressed and concerned, I immediately contacted the store. The explanations provided by the staff were inconsistent and troubling. Initially, they claimed my dog injured herself by jumping in the cage, which seemed improbable given her behavior. Later, they suggested her nail might have been previously injured, which wasn't the case. The staff's attempt to shift blame to a non-existent pre-existing condition was unacceptable. What added to my distress was the lack of immediate action taken by the staff to address my pet's injury. No first aid was provided, which left me questioning the level of care given during grooming sessions. Despite assurances that a manager would follow up the next day, I received no contact whatsoever. The disregard for my concerns and the lack of accountability in this situation was disheartening. As a longtime Petco customer, this incident has shattered my trust in their grooming services. I hope this review serves as a reminder for them to prioritize the safety and well-being of pets in their care. Immediate action, accountability, and a genuine resolution are essential in such situations, and unfortunately, these were lacking.

Tried to bring my dog in for grooming. They were full of excuses up front as to why they can't cut my dogs hair. I walked out since they didn't seem up to the task. It's kind of a shame that their groomers are so bottom of the barrel that they can't do a basic cut, but also glad I dodged a bullet.

DONT BUY REPTILES HERE! Bought a few crested gecko babies from here .found out they have MBD a lot of the reptiles here suffer from MBD or parasites or kinked tail . They also leave Poop in the enclosures for days and even weeks and don't clean the glass . They don't have a specific reptile person to correct these issues .they also over crowd 20 gallon enclosures with as many animals as they can .which I've seen leopard geckos with injuries on them. they currently have almost 8 full grown leopard geckos together mixed with younger . I've had to educate employees of the neglect and they don't listen or could careless . They say the health and happiness of animals come first but at this store it isn't .Also don't buy any gold fish from here I looked in the goldfish tanks today and about 20 were dead at the top at the filter I'm afraid what diseases are in that water . The lack of experience in the animal department is awful .also tried to apply there multiple times to try to help them and possibly educate them but they won't hire people who actually know how to properly house and maintain animals. Please don't buy anything from this store your going to have sick animals or dead animals or the animals u buy from here will infect ur health animals at home. Even the feeders look awful the RED TRASH barrel that houses crickets there's 3 inches of dead crickets in there and smells like death when they open it it's horrible . And they try to sell dead dubia roaches in cups they put 50% off or 75% off but only 5 are even alive ..This place is awful until they hire more experienced people and not these young girls who know nothing about animals and can't maintain healthy enclosures and tanks for the animals ..PLEASE stay away from anything fish ,reptile and insect related at this store !!thanks

I have a private groomer, but he was booked for 2 weeks then on vacation for a week and Sydney really needed a groom seeing as she is going to be spayed in 2 weeks. I put my trust in you and she looks amazing and has a nice summer cut. Thank You

Just what he needed! I have a Chihuahua with multiple hair lengths and directions and cow licks so wasn't expecting him to look perfect but she did a great job and he looks younger and actually has a neck now. A great summer trim.

My min pin is very anxious when anyone touches his feet. His nails have grown extremely long. Now I have found a great lady that managed to cut his nails with ease. So I will be taking him back every month for a trim.

This place is down right anise. 8 skinny, emaciated leopard gecko baby's in a cage!?! The food was moldy in the cage, and it was so dirty. The geckos were crammed in tight, and were all trying to get out. There was a bearded dragon in a cage by itself that was really sad looking, sitting in an weird position, and I think there was something wrong with it. I was worried it was dead, but it wasn't. Seriously, they had so many open cages without animals and they didn't even split up the leopard geckos?!? That is cruel. I would rather take home all those geckos and all the reptiles than get 10 million dollars!

This is my second time going to the petco for grooming. The first time was with Rachel. She was very thorough but did not cut the nails of my pup. The second time was done by Deanna. It was a HORRIBLE cut. Very uneven everywhere and my dog was so happy to get out of there he seemed very nervous and petrified when leaving.

I am a huge fan of the groomer Alyssa's work! I have a Pyrenees- not an easy dog to groom. Alyssa helped us recover his coat after he was completely shaved down at a shop in Boston. She taught me how to brush him properly, and is so patient with deshedding my not so easy dog. I'm so grateful to Petco for having a great groomer like Alyssa who is dedicated to improving a dog's coat, not just shaving him down.
