Amazing experience at Coastal VW. Johnny Walker was our sales guy and is a fantastic representation of the brand and a pleasure to work with. Shared a ton of great info about the car I was looking at and was patient and understanding. Not pushy at all like sometimes you fear a car dealership will be. Really nice team of people all around. Definitely worth the drive for any VW needs.

Buyer Beware!!! The bad reviews are SOOOO accurate. Now I'm not one to write reviews but I feel like people should know about my experience. I have spent months looking for a VW GTI, until I came upon this one at Coastal. Drove the hour and a half to Hanover and went for a test drive. My experience with the salesman Evan was awful. He didn't seem to know much about the car and the issues it had. I enjoy having conversations while driving, however when test driving a vehicle I feel as if salesmen purposely talk so much that you can't focus. I decided I wanted the car but had to talk to my parents about the purchase first. Evan said theres no way they could hold the car even if I put a few thousand down as a deposit. Which is fine. The issue comes in when on that Monday I was going to come in to buy the car. I couldn't get there until 5:30 because I work all day... The salesmen Evan literally gave me anxiety all day saying someone else was coming in 5 and he wanted to buy the car. But I physically couldn't come any earlier because I was AT WORK. I drove as fast as I could to get there and turns out the guy who was supposedly coming at 5 "couldn't make it in." Super unprofessional. I bought the car that night and after that it all went down hill. A week goes by and we hear NOTHING from anyone at Coastal. Evan can't be bothered to answer the phone, nor anyone else at Coastal, nor answer any of the voicemails left. I called almost everyone that worked there one day and not a single person answered the phone. Finally almost 2 weeks later Evan calls and says the car will be ready to pick up. Now the problem isn't that it took so long to get the car, I understand things take time, but the fact that no one can be bothered to answer the phone and update me is widely unprofessional. I get the car on Thursday and the interior still looks like food exploded on the inside, theres a light on the dash and they couldn't even be bothered to fill the car with gas. It's safe to say, take your business elsewhere

Just purchased a vehicle (VW Atlas SE) here and couldn't have been more satisfied with the level of service I received. Negotiations were simple - no haggling - and we didn't pay more than sticker (another dealership close by was asking 10% over sticker price!!!) our salesperson Evan was fantastic, as was his manager Joe and The finance manager Amanda. Couldn't recommend this dealership more.

The reviews are accurate, they are not interested in good customer service. Two things happened during our visit today 8/10/21. 1) The sales rep left us in the parking lot to go and get keys to view a car. We waited for 15 minutes, went inside and learned that he departed the dealership to drop something off at another location!! Not a word to those waiting, he just left us in the parking lot. Wow!2) We learned that the dealer will not sell their cars if the financing comes from an outside bank. So, if you have financing lined up that is more advantageous than the rates they offer they will not accept the funds. I can't make this stuff up.

does anyone really like getting unsoliciting mail from companies that push their product thru us mail???my biggest peeve from these companies like this coastal volkswagen buys mailing lists to send you junk mail and clog up the postal service! just received a letter with the heading on the envelope: important document enclosed!this is deceptive advertising and whi ever feels this way shoukd contact everyone to boycott any business with this deceptive mail threw the usps!what's enclosed is what i will post but bottom line! it's just plain and simple advertising!stop this unwanted mail in a time when millions are dealing with bigger issues than receiving a letter saying important documents enclosed! i would never buy from any company that does this!so i make myself very clear!!! this is not acceptable and this company has no idea what i drive or know anything!

Since I was reached out asking about my time, I will tell you my experience there was terrible. I called ahead to have the vehicles ready to be shown. When my husband and I got there, they were not ready and there was confusion as to what I wanted to look at and where the cars were. The sales person Evan, did not know the product. Later when needing his assistance he was on the phone and did not give any attention to me. I had to awkwardly interrupt to ask to see the second

Bought my first car from Coastal VW and it was a great experience!! The staff made it very fun and friendly buying a new car even through the dreaded signing process, and even despite Covid! They listened to my requests and were very personable. Evan and Amanda were particularly great!

Great service when purchasing a car during the COVID crisis. Evan was my salesperson. He was very quick to respond to my inquiry about a Certified Pre-Owned GTI, gave me his personal number to contact, and we settled on a purchase and trade in price via text with no real need for back and forth haggling. He communicated promptly through the whole process. Test drive went well, Amanda in finance had all of my paperwork sorted for me, and I was in my new car in a few days. Great folks I'll be back for service.

Spoke with Chris THREE days ago..gave him all my info told him roughly where I would like to be with a payment, was told I would get a call back shortly...never heard back. I understand times are different but I also understand MOST people are unfortunately out of work and not in the market to buy a car..I’m trying to give my business? Thankfully I found another VW dealer to work with me

What a way to take the joy out of buying a new car! Had to wait four and 1/2 hours to purchase--and I didn't haggle over the price at all!--and on delivery day, I was offered a 10am slot and said it wouldn't work as I had to be at work at that time. They offered a 7-9am slot, so I've been waiting here since 7am without a phone call, without an update, and it is now 10:30am! Let's hope I don't lose my job and have to make payments on a new car! Also, after purchasing the car, I reached out twice to ask when it would be delivered, and never got a call back. Finally, twelve days later, I got a call. No apologies. Terrible customer service--wish I hadn't given them my business!

Purchased my 2018 VW Beetle here and they treated me like family. I was very happy with the service here and I was able to get the car for the monthly payment that I wanted. The dealership is nice inside defienitly small and I missed seeing it right off the exit at first. Its tucked away right behind the Sunocco gas station. Parking can be tight at times when they are moving cars around from what I can see but it's a small but mighty dealership. Everyone was really nice from the salesperson (Richard) and manager (John). They have free coffee and snacks, charging station for phones, free wifi, a gear store, small play area for kids and a small waiting area with comfy leather chairs.

I had a horrible experience buying my dream car, in fact my dream car turned into a nightmare experience. I purchased my car in early October 2019, having to go back a few days later in order to pick it up because some work needed to be done. Then I was told I had to come back again 10 more days later to fix the same things because parts had not come in yet and they were too busy and short staffed to do the inspection. I also noticed damage to the wheel well after the second

Where do i start shady dealership that will sell you a car with a bad smell and then refuse to take the car back a day after. I got sick driving the car and they want to act like they didnt know it was a problem. They had the car for 3 months obviously they knew probably even tried to air it out and put freshners in it. Sales manager joe will give you dirt for your trade then the second they get you to sign paperwork your an afterthought and if you have a issue with the car forget about it actually being resolved. My salesman was evan and im pretty sure he knew the car smelled and might have even rolled the windows down to mask it. I was forced into a car I didnt want because they again screwed me over by offering me 3k less then what i had just bought the car for hope they have to eat the money for the car as nobody should be driving it. Dont trust the carfax this car had damage in trunk and smell was much worse in trunk probably got fixed under the table and dealership didnt catch it.. Also there inteest rate is very high
