Have shopped there for many years, since Armatas bought it awhile back there has been new foods introduced which is nice but have to admit when the old owners had it their meat seemed to be of a better quality

Its a great place to shop i just wish they got the fridge back in the first aisle with the fancy packaged patties and ground beef. It keeps the meat from turming gray thats why i dont use the open air side where they serve you(no waiting also) Overall great place just wishing for more consistency on above products.

Reasonable provide and an excellent deli and prepared meals. Best in Hampden and my opinion all of the Springfield area.

ALL beef at Village Mart used to be Certified Angus Beef, including the ground beef. It's what made the store special! I can buy cheap beef anywhere, I purposely shopped here for the good stuff. Now the good stuff is gone. The CAB website doesn't even list this store on their website anymore so seeing the CAB logo on Armata's flyers is not reassuring.

Not really impressed...hopefully it becomes more like Armata's was before the fire. Meat dept. Was nothing like Armata's. Grocery prices were high. I'd go for specials, but not much else unless things change.

I had been going to the village for almost a year before I'd realized it's actually a great place to get sandwiches in addition to groceries - go to the deli counter and ask for a Funky Chicken, you won't regret it.

Decent place for a quick shopping if you need something, but don't want to drive elsewhere. They have beer and wine. Basically the staple items of a giant supermarket in a much smaller one. Local hometown type feel. This place has been since 1960. Prices are very high compared to big supermarkets. Staff can either be real nice or have an attitude, especially when they are busy. They are closed on Sundays.

Great staff - very friendly and helpful. Awesome butcher shop. Fresh daily made bread, homemade pasta, and full deli. Delicious grinders. Well stocked. Bring your minnechaug card for a discount, also sold on site.
