“I love shopping here! There's something for EV1! I love the whole idea of this place!!! ??? U can find some awesome deals if u look around good but there's some vendors with high prices on their stuff! The front register lady was very nice, helpful, attentive and informative! Thank u for that!
Parking can be a nightmare! If u get lucky you'll get a spot right there on the street but don't forget to pay the meter! Or u can park in the parking lot that's next door! Meter maids do monitor the parking and will give u a ticket if your meter runs out! ???”
“Great shop. Big place with lots of smaller rooms for adventurous browsing. Good selection of diverse vintage and antique items. Owner is friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely return.”
“Good selection, wonderful prices as a thrift store should be! The clothing was all under $7. Would highly recommend. The owner is friendly and personable; it is always a joy supporting small businesses when there are good people involved! No one likes a grump!”
“This is a very large thrift shop with a LOT of clothing. Not much housewares but if you are into thrifting clothing this is the place. 2 floors. Enterence is hard to find along the side of the building (there also is a small lot) or park on the street and feed the meter $1 per hour.Prices are very good and they have weekly color tag discounts (ex 50% off on yellow, blue tags )No furniture.”
“This is awesome ? place to shop if you're looking for used furniture and household articles. The prices are more than fair and staff is extremely helpful. P.s. lots of clothing for all ages and a good amount of new things to pick from too. Have fun looking around.”
“Ruth’s House is an amazing thrift store! The work they are doing to serve the community of Haverhill is truly a blessing.
The store staff and volunteers are super friendly, it’s a clean environment and the prices are reasonable! Unlike a lot of bigger chain thrift stores that keep hiking up the prices.
I can only speak volumes of positivity about my experiences with Ruth’s House and I will definitely be coming back as a repeat customer.”
“This is my secret (not anymore) place to browse. I can say that a large portion ofmy closet comes from here. Also, I have purchased beautiful framed pictures and collectibles for my sister. So manytreasures. You will even find brand new items!”
“Absolutely a fun place to do service at, also you can find some pretty neat clothes for insanely cheap prices. There is also tons of cups/mugs in the back if you're into that stuff.”
“Updated review: The store has been cleaner for the last few months, so I added a star!
....
I find great deals at this Savers store usually! Some things are overpriced (mostly clothing) but every now and then I find a great bargain.
My only real complaint is that it's dirty.
- The doors haven't been cleaned in years. It's the first thing people see when they're walking in!
- The bathrooms are usually disgusting. Yesterday, the ladies room smelled so bad I had to hold toilet paper over my nose. I looked in the maxi pad bin and it was full of old bloody pads. That's where the smell was coming from. There was also toilet paper and debris everywhere.
- The carts often have the same debris in them for weeks. How does nobody clean this stuff?
One last thing... Price tags are often missing on things, and the times that my partner and I have gone up to get something priced, the manager treats is suspiciously, as if we removed the tag on purpose. She will then mark it up much higher than it normally would be. So, not only is it a pain to have to get a price, it's usually not a good iron. Seems unfair.
I really do like this Savers store. I just wish it were cleaner. Have someone wash the doors, have a bathroom check schedule, clean the cars daily, etc. If I see things change, I will update my review.”
“10/10 would recommend this shop. I picked up a custom item today that was beyond beautiful. I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend checking this place out.”
