This is the best veterinary practice in MA. Dr. Thomas is thorough, precise, kind, and down to earth. She has dealt with everything, from international travel documents - that were prepared and just needed my signature - to a thorough investigation of health issues. Micayla, the technician, demonstrates immense compassion towards animals and is clear and informative. The front desk are efficient (my cat's entire history was organised, paper clipped, and the file returned to me within a day!), respectful, and lovely. Fabulous team and the very best care!

While visiting in the Groton area, my almost 16 year young pup developed a UTI (urinary tract infection). It's not generally an emergency condition, but in a senior dog, it could progress quickly. I'd called several veterinary offices in the area, but none could see us for a few days because we weren't pre-registered clients.When I called Veterinary Health Care of Groton, they were willing to fit us in that afternoon. I can't say enough good things about all of the staff. I was concerned that my pup would be uncomfortable on the hard floor & suddenly, a fleece blanket appeared for her! Dr. Thomas & her staff handled my pup gently & were very attentive to me & respectful of my concerns. I believe we received wonderful service for the cost of the visit,especially for a last-minute appointment.I had explained that we were just visiting in the area, but we were treated like long-term, valued clients. If you need veterinary care in Groton, I'd definitely consider this office!

Wonderful clinic and staff! We came in for a regular health check up, rabies vaccination and microchip. Our cat tends to get very nervous around new people, and especially at vet appointments, but everyone was super friendly and comforting and made the process quick & easy for him. There were no complications & he recovered right away. Special thanks to head technician Micayla for her professionalism and care, she went above and beyond for us, and we’re really grateful.Highly recommend VHC of Groton to all cat and dog parents! The team you can trust.

We have been so impressed with the professionalism and empathy that Dr. Thomas and her staff have shown us working with our elderly dog. We couldn’t ask for a better veterinary team. Our little girl, Olive (cat/velociraptor) had lots of health issues that brought her in many times, and she is so badly behaved when she goes, it’s amazing they’ll still see her. Dr. Thomas set her up on a very thorough regimen for her care and I’m certain if it were not for Dr. Thomas and all of her team over the last year, we might have lost her a long time ago instead of having such a robust and energetic girl. Many thanks to all of you. We could not ask for better care for our animals and will continue to enthusiastically recommend all of you to anyone and everyone in need of thorough, knowledgeable, caring veterinary services.

Had a remarkably good experience with Dr. Thomas and her team when they cared for my sick cat. They took thoughtful and thorough care of him, and Dr. Thomas's communications with me were very clear regarding both my cat's medical care and the costs.

I have two dogs 1 old lady and 1 young guy, they have been completely amazing with both of them. When I called late at night with a swollen ear for my old lady they got me in first thing the next morning drained her ear and gave me two different options to treat her infection. The tech that came out to get her was very kind and polite and I felt very safe with her taking her in due to covid, Dr. Thomas also called and explained what needed to be done and costs for each thing explaining everything in great detail answered all my questions and did not rush me off the phone or treat me like I was just another owner, same goes for when I took my pup in for his rounds of series shots and when he had bad diarrhea after she got back to me promptly and even helped next time with offering something to prevent it. Extremely reasonable prices even though you can not put a price on compassion, knowledge and care for your fur babies! Will continue making the drive to see Dr. Thomas and staff!

They were friendly and I had no doubt that my cat was safe with them. That is where the positives end. I spoke with representatives three or more times prior to my appointment for a rabies vaccination. No one communicated to me even once that he would need an entire $70 check up. I was completely blindsided by the bill. The staff said they apologize IF there was miscommunication when there absolutely was a huge miscommunication on their part. My mother has similar experiences where they will up charge you as much as possible. With so many veterinary places in the area I recommend literally any one of them before I’ll ever recommend this place. I’ll be taking my cat elsewhere. Go somewhere that won’t strangle the dollars out of you.

We really appreciate your flexibility with last-minute appointments and most of all, the love and compassion you’ve shown to our girl. Answers to all of our silly panicking questions. It’s comforting to have a reliable veterinarian we can trust and we look forward to your services for our new furry friend Chester.
