From the moment that I called him on the morning of her death, he walked me through every single step of the way… including the details for her memorial service in another state. He made calls on my behalf to the woman in charge of the cemetery in South Carolina where my mom‘s ashes would be interred so that the “niceties” of the day (tent to protect us from the sun, chairs, table, etc.) would be there and arranged for mom’s Honor Guard. Jack was the one who told me that mom qualified for the VA’s tombstone and Honor Guard - I had no idea about that. He also helped me choose an urn for mom‘s ashes and procured the documents that would allow me to bring her cremains on the plane. And, on more than one occasion, he would email me to check in to see if there was anything else he could do. A more compassionate, empathetic, professional, and organized Director of a funeral home I cannot imagine!”
