This store is not to be missed! I always walk away with unique treasures like a beautiful and cozy blanket, a great winter cardigan, cozy socks for my husband, or even a great pair of earrings. The theme is decidedly western and Native American, which is not even my style, but somehow I can't resist the quality and uniqueness of each item in the store. The people working there are exceptionally kind and always helpful in choosing the right thing. TP Saddleblanket & Trading is at the top of my list each time I visit Great Barrington!

Probably one of the last types of stores you would expect in Great Barrington, or anywhere in the Berkshires, for that matter. A fun electric assortment of stuff and good prices.

Thirty one years ago, at a “warehouse sale” by J. Peterman Co. being held in the Chicago Loop, I was browsing and spotted a large two-tone brown/tan heavy wool blanket with a beautiful outdoor and moose design, but because the price tag was very high, I assumed it was for display. I’m an outdoor girl who lived in the mountains in my 20s and 30s, loves the woods, Native culture and MOOSE, so I took a closer look, saw that it was a TP Saddle Blanket, asked about the price and snatched it up for almost nothing...and I use it every single Chicago winter. It is THE BEST, WARMEST blanket I’ve EVER had. It’s thick wool, amazingly warm and still in perfect condition. It’s my “Winter treasure” and I wouldn’t give it up for anything (unless I had a horse, of course)!

I live in NJ. It come up to NY State to visit family not far from GB. Whenever we visit I love to come to the store to shop. Not only are the prices reasonable for the quality of clothes, but downstairs you can get discounted items that are beautiful and enter the “last chance” room where prices can be discounted up to 70%! Great deals, helpful and friendly staff!

I've been coming to this store for over 20 years. Any time I am in GB I go in and browse to observe the new apparel and yes make a purchase or three!! Always a pleasure.
