Interesting place in a hidden location.
There are a lot of Japanese antiques.
A fun place to look at.
How did the stone lantern get to this place?
I think you can buy kimono at an incredibly affordable price.

Such an amazing experience that I had at Mundy’s Asia Galleries today. I fell in love with a beautiful red and black flowered kimono and bought it! Wow! This place sings of Japan! The owner is an absolute delight to meet!

Incredible eclectic collection ranging from museum quality fine art and artifacts to eye catching and evocative decorative elements from a wide range of Asian cultures. Prices span the gamut from a few dollars into the many tens of thousands but always appropriate to the sale item. The gallery is curated by the owner Rhett, who shuttles between Stockbridge and Kyoto and shares his passion and knowledge equally with his many visitors and shoppers. There is no place like it. A must see, must shop.

Really annoyed to arrive and see that they have a sign saying “open by appointment only” but on Google it shows them as being open

After 45 seconds of walking through I was told I had to put a mask on. I promptly walked out and after being a customer for years I will never step foot in the place again.

Kind of a hidden gem in the middle of the Berkshires. Interestingly enough, there are at least 3 different Asian antique stores/galleries all within a 5 minute drive of this place, so it must be a thing in these parts. This has to be one of the coolest ones though, they had a Wakizashi (smaller Katana) from the Edo period and some pretty awesome Samurai armor!I purchased a mid-century chef’s knife and managed to get a small discount. Thanks for keeping Japanese and Asian culture alive!

They used to have a store in the South End of Boston, and the place captivated me then. For one-of-a-kind works of Far Eastern art, incomparable Japanese woodworking, and reasonable prices, there is no other place like this one. The owner is a true lover of all things Japanese, and has fully embraced the culture that created these unique pieces. He sources the arts, furniture, textiles, and collectibles himself in Kyoto, where he lives. I personally have 1/2 of my bedroom furniture from this place, in the form of lightweight Japanese "cha tansu" from the Taisho period. Every piece is beautiful, has character, and was built to last. You won't believe when you can just pick up your new china cabinet (place for your porcelain and dishes) with your two hands because it was made to be modular. A huge fan, I simply love this place and it's my go-to for unique woodwork and art.
