“I went there for first time about 6 weeks ago! It was a rainy Sunday and I was just looking for something to do. I just loved the flower shop there and ended up getting two plants and the great staff helped me pick out a vase. I just had a baby bloom in one of the plants and she gave me care instructions ! Look forward to future visits ! Definitely not like a regular grocery store !”

The bakery, and all its wonderful offerings, are to die for. The cheese department is out of this world and quite frankly, dangerous. I don't even try to control myself. I love wandering the aisles and just grabbing random, interesting items. There are wonderful local items in their freezer meat and dairy case; I've had some of the best raw scallops of my life from their fish department. Their prepared foods are high quality and they even have a great little kitchen supply store. Every person I've ever spoken to there is kind and helpful. If I ever move up here, this store will be one of the major reasons why. It's every food lovers dream.”
“My family and I have been shopping here for 50 years. The sandwiches are great and the cheeses are excellent. There is a large collection of wines over a wide price range. There is a good selection of jams and hard to find condiments. The owners and the staff are very nice. It has an old-time feel and I like the fact that it has been family-run for over 100 years.”

“A great little store for the most part - a bit overpriced, but not egregiously so. They have a good selection of dry goods, frozen dinners, produce, etc. and the staff are always quite friendly and helpful. They also host some great community events. It loses some points because it's not actually a co-op in the traditional sense - it's owned by anyone in the community who can pay enough to become an "owner," not by the employees. Also, the cafe and hot bar are ludicrously overpriced and chronically understaffed, and lately the hours have been unpredictable. From what I understand the "owners" have decided that the cafe should be run by one or two people max, leading to long wait times and poor service. The staff are fantastic, but these days I mostly stick to their great selection of premade foods in the cooler.”
“This is great! Huge upgrade over the regular price chopper that was there before. Excellent selection, pharmacy with longer hours than the others in town, and THE BEST hot sauce collection I’ve seen at a grocery store in a long time!”
“Great cheese, breads and spreads but way too much attitude. I wouldn’t mind spending so much if it felt a bit more welcoming. Not paying to feel like I’m wasting their time.”
“I love going to The Big Y whenever I'm in town. I'm from another state. Their meat dept has the freshest meat. Their sushi is freshly made right in front of you.”
