Your stupid oversized sign blocks the view of the traffic lights when coming down 183, on an already tight corner where it’s hard to see ahead.

Woman scoffed at me when I asked how much for the “hanging fish planters”.Began to educate me that they were 19th century, 1820’s, Chinese wall vases blah blah.Told me the price looking down her nose, as if they were not the same price as my sunglasses.Question is why support a business like that, when you could support a small local artisan vendor? As a younger couple we frequent and enjoy the mystery of new to us antique and thrift shops. If you’re looking for that same experience, I would absolutely not reccommend this store.

If you are interested (and even if you are not) in glass ware, fine china, porcelain, and fine silver, comer to Elaine Abrams in S. Barrington, Mass. Ms. Abrams has some 100,000 items in her store, and can provide an ex- perts help in getting items you need. It is like visiting a museum, except you can get close up to view what you like and may need.

Spent afternoon antiquing. Very nice shop IF you want glass. That’s all they have….glasses, vases, and dinnerware. Nice stuff and fair prices, but just glass.

This is one of the finest shops for antique dinnerware and glass anywhere. Many beautiful things that you won't see anywhere else in this quantity and variety. Knowledgeable and friendly service. If you're interested in this kind of stuff, not to be missed. Even if you're not, it's worth seeing once.

I visited this store on a recent trip to Great Barrington and had a very positive experience! When you first walk in the dazzling display of beautiful sparking items takes your breath away. The owner immediately got up and offered to turn more lights on to illuminate the displays. She has an incredible and very large collection that is tastefully and artfully presented. Even when I told her that so was just looking, she was friendly and offered a lot of explanations about pieces I was simply curious about. It was almost like being in a museum. I felt I should have been charged admission! There are very high end valuable pieces here and are priced accordingly. This would be a perfect place to find a special heirloom wedding gift. There are many signs around that say not to touch, however the owner is very helpful and more than willing to assist you. If I ever hit the lottery this is where I'll shop!

The young woman at the desk looked down her nose at us and did not say hello as we entered. I pointed out my parents' wedding no china and she said, "As you can clearly see posted, no touching." She did not look at us directly again - only sideways as if we might walk off with something. Easily the worst experience I have had with any merchant in the Berkshires. I'll never set foot in the place again
