Great cheese store off the beaten trail. Weekly deliveries from an Italian farm, cheese and certain meats, as well as from local farms. Great wines. Most knowledgeable owner. Our cheeses were gone by the end of dinner. By the way I grew up in France and know my cheeses. So do try it if you are in the neighborhood.

I wrote a complaint to the store when I received my receipt about a bad experience I had ~ I was told that I could not try a 3 type of cheese after ordering both the previous cheeses I tried. This is my response back: "We are proud of our customer service and our online reviews proof our mission. On one of thte busiest days of the year, our staff tried their very best to accommodate each customer's demands, as always, and at no time have we set a limit on how many cheeses can be tasted. However, it would be completely reasonable to do so, and by no means should it be considered an insult, which is a strong word in this context. We sincerely hope you reconsider your point of view. Thank you!"I will never go back! 11/2023

We made our first trip to Pecorino on 11/18/23 and had a great experience. How could we have missed this lovely shop for 13 years?Simone and her staff are warm, friendly and eager to make your experience, in-store and at home, fabulous. This is a carefully curated selection of cheeses of impeccable quality and provenance---if Neal's Yard Dairy, Cato Corner Farm, and Jasper Hill mean anything to you, this is your shop. Simone will not accept anything less than cheeses that have been lovingly crafted, meticulously handled, and delivered to the shop at the right time for you to come in an sample them.We spent a good deal of time picking out cheeses and did not spend time in the wine room seeking pairings from the carefully curated collection, but we will do so in the future.Pecorino is a gem, and to us, well worth a 45-60 min drive.If your pulse races when you think of the times you entered Murray's or Rubiner's or Borough Market or the late great Russo's Market, set aside time to visit Pecorino. It will do you good.
