“We needed a headlamp replaced on a 2005 Honda Accord that was especially difficult to get to. Another place gave an estimate of 1-3 hours for the job, at $90/hour, and leaving the car there. For a headlight!!!John had it fixed in 15 minutes while we waited, for a fraction of the other estimate. And he fixed a burned-out backup light as we were leaving at no charge. Finding a good mechanic you can trust? Priceless.”

“I have a couple of older Hondas that needed a wide range of repairs and Brad at Berkshire did a great job with both bikes. He provides pick-up and drop-off options, and stayed in touch throughout the process so there were no surprises. Highly recommend this shop for repairs, tune-ups, and inspection stickers!”

“David and the employees at his shop provide excellent service at fair and honest prices. They do not cut corners and are thorough and efficient. I had a "quick" DIY that turned into an ugly headache, as they often do with older cars in the northeast.

Their shop was able to take the car in the next day, and resolved the issue for less labor than anticipated by the afternoon. These guys really are professionals! Broken bolts, northeast cars, they know how to get the job done correctly the first time without having to worry!

And again, the great work was done efficiently without adding unnecessary cost, very honest pricing compared to some other area mechanics. This will be my new go-to autoshop in the Northampton area. 6 stars if I could!!”

“I currently live in NC. Previously I lived 60+ years of my life in MA. 2 years ago, I had one of my 2 Toyotas, an MR2, towed to Toad's Kin with the hope of resurrecting its 2.2l engine, which had been neglected for over 2 years, for reasons beyond my control. Bob managed to make it run, but, alas, it didn't hold up. At least he tried. Rad located another 2.2, while offering advice and comforting conversation. Most car mechanics in my experience don't offer such a thorough experience, usually leaving the counseling to the therapists. Bob, in addition to the replacement motor, was incredibly thorough, also: he replaced the timing belt, water pump, clutch, release bearing, oil, filter, air filter and a host of other small parts, adjustments etc. I then drove the car to NC, and haven't had any issues at all in the 2 years since. I also brought my 2nd vehicle, a 2000 Toyota Tundra to him that same year (2020). It needed front axles and some other work, which was completed promptly and thoroughly, and I am now driving it daily in NC. I visited MA in 8/2022, and, since I have heretofore not been able to find a mechanic I can trust in NC, I thought that, before I was to return to NC, I would drop in and see Bob (I had just heard of Rad's unfortunate passing) at Toad's Kin. While visiting, I asked him, I at first thought facetiously, how soon he could do a timing belt. It was Monday. His reply: "How about Wednesday?" Which floored me, to be honest. He did the work, of course, and I'm so gad he did. He found bearings that should have been replaced the previous time the job was done, and was again extremely thorough. And my truck (which has 340,000 miles) now gets 18 mpg (it previously got less than 12). Thank you, Bob; you're a savior! I'll be back!Services: Auto engine diagnostic”

“Excellent quality work at very reasonable prices with friendly accommodating staff. Only issue is they are so popular that you have to wait a bit to get the work done. Once they have your car they are very efficient in getting it back to you. My first choice for auto body work. Consistently excellent over the years.”

“Highly recommend! Had new front brakes installed by a different auto repair shop in North Adams. The next day on my drive to Northampton one of my brakes began to rattle so loudly I was afraid the new parts I just paid for were about to fall off as I was driving! Pulled into the first auto repair shop I could find, which happened to be Cicky's Garage. They immediately took my car in to look for the source of the rattling and were able to find the issue and fix it in less than 15 minutes. They didn't charge me. They were also very kind and helpful by explaining that the issue was missing caliber bolts. If I ever move to this area, I'm taking my car here!”
