“I recently visited Brass Monkey and was a bit disappointed by the overall experience. The staff seemed uninterested and didn’t make much effort to engage with customers, which made the atmosphere feel a bit cold. The store itself is filled with items that seem more suited for an older crowd, though they do have some cute jewelry that caught my eye. However, I found the prices to be quite high for what was offered. While there’s potential, the combination of the lackluster service and high prices left me underwhelmed.”

This is the cutest store in all of Massachusetts! I love this place and I come here every time I'm in Gloucester! The stuff is expensive but it's so adorable, and it's worth the purchase. Stop by when you're around.

Awful place…Came to visit this place with my kids. Way overpriced! Immediately came to tell us to be watchful of our kids for no reason. Id suggest training your employees up on customer service. Never walking into this place again.

If you are in town, I highly recommend going to the brass monkey. Super eclectic and filled with treasures to share with family and friends. Chochkies galore with a huge dash of charm.. This gem is located in the heart of town right down main street. Highly recommended to stop in while taking a stroll in town and also to look around at all of their great items.

This has been the most creative, beautiful and unusual merchandise I have ever had the experience of viewing. I have never seen their items in any catalog or in any other store It was a true pleasure shopping there and I will definitely look them up when back in Gloucester.

Don't waste your time listed as antique shop as well &is catalog store with mainly things made look old. Glad I didn't drive here from distance to be disappointed. Stop misrepresenting your store..

The service in the store was terrible. I went to purchase a Christmas decoration I had seen in the window and even though there was a price tag on it and separate price tags on the additional decorations that came with it, they wouldn't sell it to me because it was "display only". I then pointed out something else I had seen in the other window and they wouldn't sell that to me, either, for the same reason. Other decorative items in the store were clearly marked as display only and did not have price tags on them. There was no apology, no offer of assistance to find something similar, no offer to have me come back another day when they would have had a chance to replace the display. I don't know if this is just bad business, bad customer service, or sheer laziness on the part of the staff. Whatever the reason, I have no intention of giving this store my business ever again.
