Every once in a while, you get the chance to step back in time to a place that seems the same as in your childhood! Nichols Candies ? is just this kind of place. Almost at the end of Route 128 at the Rust Island exit, Nichols Candies has been selling beautiful home made chocolates and candies for almost a century. Easter week has som many wonderful chocolate bunnies, eggs, and Easter baskets. Service is friendly. Gift wrapping is free. The seaside view from the store is fantastic! Absolutely delightful place! Plenty of parking available.

This amazing candy shop has been in business for 91 years and rightly so, the products are spectacular! So many choices of so many different chocolate and candies. It's all made in premises and you can taste the love they put in their products. Easy to shop, right off of rt 128 coming into Gloucester, easy back into the highway. Plenty parking! Lots of Easter candy selection right now in the shop. The quality of the chocolate is superb! Lots of Gloucester souvenir chocolate too, fun lobster lollipops and chocolate too. Molly helped us, she was knowledgeable and delightful !
Dietary restrictions: It's chocolate, some sugar free selection!
Parking: Lots of free parking right outside the candy shop!
Kid-friendliness: The kids will love it here!
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in easy out, no restrooms!

The best chocolates around! Expensive but well worth it. Almond clusters are my favorite.

Old fashioned candy shop with chocolates, salt water taffy, caramels… Same family owned business for 90+ years

I never knew you could screw up candy so badly, but this place is entirely skippable. It's 91 years old, and all the candy tastes like it's been aging that entire time. Dried out mint, crumbly chocolate, dusty coconut...etc. Also very awkward having the sales staff have to follow you around and put candy in a box for you. Everything is displayed on open plates loosely covered by plastic, which is probably why it's all dried out.

I love the candy so much but every time I show up the place is closed. How do you close at 3pm on a Saturday in the summer?
