Tony welcomes you when you walk through the door and Brad my mechanic explained current issues as well as details of upcoming maintenance on my Subaru. Great service and all the great reviews are correct ! This is the best auto shop I’ve ever been to. I will definitely continue to rely on these guys for all my automotive work !

These guys are the best. Every time I've brought my car in they have helped me to find a solution and taken the time to explain all aspects of the problem to me. They are patient and they really know what they are talking about. I am a grad student hoping to get a couple more years out of my car, and I feel that they treat me and my car with the same respect they would give to anyone. Extremely honest and affordable, multiple times I've picked my car up and the bill was $0 because the fix was something simple like removing corrosion from a switch and there was no part required. I can't say how much I appreciate them.

I went with a noisy rear brake and asked for a brake check and an oil change. The grandson must have marked me as gullible. First he told me that I needed new tires; I didn't. Then he told me, when I mentioned Costco tires, that Costco's Michelins are really a store brand, not really Michelins! Then he said that my brakes needed new front rotors and that the warping and pulsing would be corrected. I told him that the noisy brake was the rear right under a full load. I also told him that I had recently, two years ago, bought new rotors from Rock Auto and that John, of John's alignment which was on Kondelin Road. (John is no longer there, unfortunately.) I mentioned that my front brakes were not pulsing and were not warped. Too bad I have to add Family Car Care to my no go shop, along with Meineke, who gave me a similar run around years ago. I used to think that FCC were O.K. but now I know better. If they don't know you, get a second opinion! If you're a regular, as some of my Gloucester friends are, question what they tell you!

I was in town from out of state over the holiday. My car started having cooling issues in upstate NY. The Chrysler dealers in the area all told me 2 weeks, but even with the holiday, they were able to get me in right away and the solution was simpler than expected.We visit family here often, so now I have a Cape Ann repair shop.

Customer service is absolutely worthless.I called ahead and was told to arrive at 9 on Thursday morning.Now, their skinhead behind the counter tells me no. "Hehe, not today"Acceptable work, garbage service.

I will never do business at family car care again. I took my car to get an oil change, and received a call saying my drain plug was stripped and I would need to purchase a new oil pan. they said whoever did my previous oil change must have threaded it wrong( my previous oil change was done by family car care). They did not listen or care to anything I said. instead they ordered a new pan and put it on that day without my knowledge. They kept my car hostage until I paid them. Worst customer service for a small town business. stay away they are crooks

I rely on FCC for everything automotive. Tony and his team are friendly, honest, patient and accommodating. They consistently under-promise and over-deliver. I can rely on them for everything from an inspection sticker to a major repair costing hundreds of dollars. I've had three cars achieve 100K miles thanks to them.
