“It has been a wonderful experience working with Eric at Eric's Solid Oak Furniture to have our heirloom quality chairs built by the Lancaster Family. We picked Oak wood for our chairs. Erik educated us about the different types of wood for the chairs, the different designs in terms of comfort, and provided us the best customer experience throughout the process of selection of the chairs. He helped us select the right stain for the chairs as we had our dining table (made of reclaimed Chestnut wood) made from a different store. Eric worked with us on getting the right stain to go with the dining table (even before the table was made). It was an informative and excellent experience working with him. We now have beautiful set of chairs that completes the dining table and our family will experience it for decades to come. I highly recommend Eric's Solid Oak Furniture, especially Eric who is a gentleman and knows what it takes to make a customer happy.”

I was lucky enough to take part in a “Joy of Painting Master class.” It was an Annie Sloan tutorial class led by her brand ambassador Jonathan Marc Mendes. Truly attending this class was a highlight of my winter!! The shop owner “Colleen” was the most gracious host at the 2 day event. Check out the classes she offers you will not be disappointed! “I have been a customer for years and have ordered sofas, chairs and carpets as well as bought decor from Kerry the owner. The upholstery is of a high quality at a great price point for American hand-made furniture.I prefer to spend more upfront for a quality piece and reupholster when I change my decor rather than buy poorly made pieces held together with a couple of screws that will end up in a landfill in a few years.Also, Kerry and all of her staff are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful and always willing to spend the the time with you for design questions. I highly recommend Red Bird and their sister store Wish Basket for an amazing shopping experience and professional advice and really well made furniture.”

“This is a a really, really nice store. I make it a point to visit when I am in Newburyport. There is a vague French theme but mostly the items are high end housewares. Kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom. There is a smattering of food items, mostly canned and bottled stuff. I'm terms of the staff, I've never had a problem. They are waspy looking North Shore women of a certain age. What do you want? They ring me up and I'm on my way.”
