Doug and team at AER did a great job with my 2009 M3. They needed to replace the rear turn signal kit. I usually take it to the dealership but found this to be very convenient in my home town. The tech did a video of the car and diagnosis just like the dealership. I would definitely take my baby back there again.

I brought my Mini Cooper to be serviced because the brake red warning light was on. They were able to diagnose and clear the light for me. The car is working fine now.

I don’t usually leave reviews but Advanced European Repair definitely deserves one—a great one. Simon is a great auto repair manager—have known him for years. The entire process was extremely professional and customer-forward. The diagnosis of my car’s problem was undertaken with great professionalism and diligence. They worked super hard to find a good and affordable repair solution and the repair followed as planned. Having a loaner (and very nice one at that) was key through the whole process. And after the work was done the results in terms of the car’s function and performance was immediate: goal accomplished. There were several points along the way where a less professional shop would’ve cut corners and taken my money. Not AER. I felt like a valued and respected customer every step of the way. I’m very impressed and will call them with my next auto repair need.
UPDATE AUG 2024:
I’ve continued to have good experiences with AER in recent months. Continued to be happy with their work and highly recommend.

I have a 2014 VW Beetle that I took off the road when I was told it needed a third engine. After a year in the garage, I decided to give it one more chance and took it to AER for a diagnostic and third opinion. I am now happy to say she’s running like a dream, didn’t need a new engine(just a belt , battery and a few other things) and I’m back in love with my car again. Doug was always clear, concise and straight forward with what needed to done and right on with the price-no surprise add ons. When the “check engine” light came back on, they took it right in, checked it out and fixed what needed to be fixed. I’m thrilled to have a new option for my beloved “Evangeline”. I’d gladly recommend AER to anyone around.

10/10 recommend. Here’s why:
- They are certified mechanics and technicians, they have the training and experience to handle whatever you throw at them
- You will get a detailed description of issues that need to be addressed but they will only address the problem you ask them to focus on and make informed recommendations from there
- They are fair, upfront, and honest
- Also: no stupid questions go unanswered, they’re extremely respectful and if I might add, have great senses of humour
Doug and his team have my trust and my respect. I will be using this shop forevermore.

I took my 2011 BMW here for an oil change this week (being my 2 main go-tos were both too busy to fit me in before a long road trip) so I dropped my car off to AER in the morning. I hadn't heard back from them regarding if my vehicle was ready or not for pickup. However, at 1pm I received a text regarding a link to a 'complimentary inspection report' (which, I did not ask for an would have rather just had the oil change an been on my way earlier in the day, but ty) I still had not received any word that my car was ready to be picked up so I called AER. I asked if my car was ready and they said well yes but they assumed I wanted to have them keep it so they could fix the things they found to be wrong with the car in their inspection report ?? I said definitely not today, I just want to pick up my vehicle. When I got to AER I was presented with an invoice for $222.47!! FOR AN OIL CHANGE. Never in any of my years and cars owned have I ever paid that much for an oil change, even on my foreign cars or even my big trucks and suvs. Anyways, I didn't ask upfront for pricing, honestly because who would ever think they'd pay almost $250 for an old a$$ cars oil change. But I won't make that mistake again. They are charging $16.99 per QUART of 0w-30 synthetic oil ??? which is twice the retail price. I don't know if I got the jacked-up they think ima a stupid female price but I am thoroughly flabbergasted that they're charging that for oil changes and NOT telling their customer upfront on the phone when we're inquiring about it an making appointments!!!!! If I can post a picture of the invoice I will. Future customers beware.

Fantastic experience!
I've worked in the automotive industry for over 30 years, and it's been difficult for me to find a repair facility that does things right with the customers best interest in mind.
Especially when you drive a 16-year-old Mercedes-Benz with 187K miles.
Simon was very attentive and professional. He explained everything in detail and provided a comprehensive inspection report that the technician, Eric had put together with photographs and suggestions on which repairs were a priority and those that could wait. I could tell the team really cared and did a great job identifying the issues with my car.
They also provided a free loaner car.
I highly recommend Advanced European Repair. Honest, thorough and friendly.
