An absolutely adorable little store with some great finds for the kids. Staff was super friendly and helpful to both my husband and I and our children. Complimentary gift wrapping is a nice added bonus!

I am a huge advocate for small business. In fact, I have been supporting this store for a long time. Both my children use " figit " style toys to help them study, take tests, and concentrate in general.I walked into the store today with my 8 year old son. We knew what we were getting and requested it from the courteous lady at the counter. The other lady ( of whom is the owner, as I found out after the fact ) stated my son would be " too rough" with said gummy bear, and a disgusting shaving cream material would get everywhere, and walked around the counter to show my son other toys that are better suited for rougher play....My son has a few of these already! We even told you upfront that we purchased 4 last week! Who are you to judge and assume who and what my son, or any of your customers, may or may not do with any merchandise from your store. Your lack of restraint on comment, whether ill-willed or ill-timed helpfulness, was unwanted, un warranted, and just plain rude. We will not be back. Small business or not, the only thing you will learn quick in here is you'll buy what they want you to buy, kids are not welcomed, and you are judged at the door...don't believe me...read the other comments.

Local chain/franchise that specializes in active playthings and educational toys. The stores have a good variety of stuff. Three stars for variety and quantity. My issues with the stores are the unpleasant staff and the return policy. The return policy: If you have a receipt and the item is unopened, is straightforward. If you have opened the box and the item does not have a manufacturer defect, then they will not accept the item back. Opening the itemmakes it unable to be resold. Only with a manufacturer defect will they take an open item back for a refund. So, if your child does not like the toy or you just are not happy with your choice, you are out of luck. I hate to say it, do your research and purchase the item somewhere that has a less restrictive return policy even if slightly more expensive. Not having the hassle of dealing with The Learning Express will be worth it in the end.

It's always great to get the kids to physically look and admire Toys they want. And we like to encourage local businesses however the prices, compared to Amazon are at least 30% more. Some items 40%. It's difficult to regularly encourage them with such a price difference.

Two stars not one only because I wasn’t here.My 11 year old daughter was asked to leave this toy store today. She was told by an employee that it wasn’t a safe space for her to be with out adult supervision (next door at super cuts). The employee further explained that the store policy is you have to be 14 years old or accompanied. For a kid centric store model this seems like a harsh policy. My daughter was uncomfortable and she is s good polite kid.

Hi, my name is Cordelia, I went into the smal business in Franklin it started off pretty well but when I asked if the had slime they said no although when I looked they had it behind the counter and a saw a picture of a girl smelling it from ten months ago. I am not one to leave bad ratings unless they deserve them and this is one of them. I am very sorry for leaving this review but I will not lie about my experience

It's so rare that I'd ever give a 1 star to a place that I've happily been buying from for at least 15 years, but I'm left with no choice... the first time that I FINALLY let my kids not wear their masks when covid cases were extremely low (and because they were struggling / had already worn their masks for @7 hours in school), we were TOLD by a learning express employee TO PUT ON OUR MASKS!! IT IS A MANDATE IN THE STORE!! We complied but we were SHOCKED - we bought our items from the birthday box and left. I understand this is a business & they can choose how they want to govern, but we can not support this business ever again. My family knows all to well of the destruction and divisiveness that discriminatory laws / mandates can cause, and now my friends are loosing their jobs / livelihoods. ? There is no place for this but most surprisingly, in the USA. IF YOU BELIEVE THAT YOUR MASK WORKS, THEN WEAR YOUR OWN MASK!! What happened to the freedom to choose? Extremely disappointed and saddened. We, and many others I've spoken to, will take our business elsewhere.

Very upsetting experience. I live approximately 30 minutes away from this location. I called the store asking if they had a particular squishmallow as I knew it was popular at this time and didn’t have much faith they would have it. I was surprised when the man told me they in fact had one left. I asked him to hold it for me but he said due to owner policy they cannot hold squishmallows which is understandable due to high demand. I had called at 4:30, knowing they closed at 5, I took the risk to drive the thirty minute distance to this location to pick up the squish. I had called and a woman answered and told me she would wait to close the store until we had gotten there, which was extremely generous as we knew we would arrive a little bit past closing time. When we got there we walked in and the squish was gone. Though I knew it could not be held, it was baffling that we drove all the way, calling again 5 minutes prior to our arrival to show up and have it be gone. There was no description or explanation of how it magically disappeared from its place on the shelf. The woman was baffled that it was gone, while the man who I had previously talked to, stared down at the counter without saying a word. He wouldn’t even look at me or my mom. I found it crazy that one particular squish could have been sold in such a short time period of what was 30 minutes. As this location is tucked away in a plaza located in Franklin. Very disappointed.

Place an order online. Heard back within a very short time. As I want to pick it up in the store. When I got there I was waited on right away and got the items that I had ordered. Awesome

Holiday time and this Nana with 4 grandkids wants to know what are the hot toys and what gifts would delight the kids?. Thank goodness for this local retailer - I have tried the big box stores as well as Amazon for many many things . But toys are different - how do you really know if it's a winner ? Certainly no sales people in the aisles at these big box stores to assist or give personal recommendations. So hats off to Learning Express - sales people are exceptional and the prices are reasonable. Shop their great sales - shop local. Support small business. I am glad I do- and so are my grandkids!

Ugh... I wanted to like this place. As I walk into a smaller than imagined plaza store... They have an okay selection. And as my kids ran around in amazement, serotonin bursting, asking me if they can have this and that... looking at the prices hurt my heart. Everything is FULL sale price. You can literally buy these items on Amazon or Walmart for WAY less than half the price. You know how books have a crazy expensive price on the back near the barcode?!... yea.. that's what you pay! Stick to Scholastic for that one. Take your kids to Target to let them run around and see toys and possibly not pay crazy amounts of money... or better yet... to keep some money in your pocket.. order on Amazon... these people are ripping you off and they know it.
