I always leave this salon happy with bouncy, healthy hair. Yanira is wonderful with color. The salon is relaxing, clean, and welcoming. I've moved from the area but I keep coming back and have been a client for a few years now. I really enjoy getting my hair cut here. I'd highly recommend it! I appreciate that appointments can be made online, too.

Juan is the best in the business. I was a client even before he opened his own business. I’m a very self conscious person and there has never been a time I’ve left his salon and felt anything but beautiful and confident. Everyone needs Juan in their life.Services: Blowouts

I’ve been seeing Juan for cuts and color for something like 10 years (I even drive out of my way since moving), but unfortunately, he lost a client today. I understand that stylists are not required to wear masks right now, however, I asked him kindly if he would wear one to protect me due to some serious health issues I’m dealing with. I really didn’t think it would be an issue, but he absolutely refused. After 10 years, he doesn’t care about me as a person at all. 2 stars, because he gives a great cut, but sadly, I won’t be returning.Services: Hair coloring

I've been getting great haircuts here for the last few years. I am an Indian girl with lots of wavy hair. I've gone from short bob to mid length layers to bob. Juan cuts my hair and he understands what I am looking for and does a great job each time. He is an expert. I have visited this salon twice during these Covid times and found the salon to be following all protocols and very clean and very safe. Since, it is such a huge space, it feels quite safe in this pandemic and Juan is very careful of all protocols. Highly recommend this place for high-end quality haircuts!

I went last July and felt very safe with the precautions taken. Only two customers were being serviced at a time and the stylist had on a face shield. The salon was very clean and had a more modern feel. Staff is very courteous!

Sotelo's is the first salon that I have switched to in years, and I am so happy that I did. Juan is INCREDIBLE! Wow. I was practically jumping up and down before I left his salon. After almost 7 months of regrowth due to Covid and a general fear of bad colorists, I am so, so happy to have discovered this salon! We had a brief but informative session about what I ultimately wanted (and hadn't been happy with at past salons), and I could tell Juan knew exactly what I wanted. Incredibly friendly and helpful, Juan was a wonderful stylist - chatting when I felt like chatting, respectful when I needed quiet or respite- and most importantly - he gave me an incredibly natural hair color with highlights and lowlights, just as he promised! By the time it came to getting my haircut, I drew him a quick sketch of what I was looking for, but I already trusted him to do what he thought was best. I wasn't wrong! SO HAPPY with the results and SO RELIEVED I found a great new artist! I love my color and cut and I am so excited I found a wonderful new artisan! You can't go wrong with Juan!!!

I can't say enough amazing things about this salon. Juan and Yanira are beyond talented. They are truly artists with excellent advice and suggestions. Their professionalism and expertise shows in their cuts and color. I appreciate the ease of getting an appointment, as they offer online appointment scheduling, in their very clean and bright salon. When in MetroBoston, no need to go ANYWHERE else, this dynamic father and daughter duo are second to none.
