Massage Envy is, first and foremost, about taking your money. Your continued patronage is secondary. Some therapists are exemplary. However, since they may be new to the field, they may not be there the next time you show up! Continuity is a critical part to one’s health, and having to start again with a new therapist is a waste of time. My advice is to stay away from Massage Envy.

Best avoid Massage Envy. The previous manager stopped responding once covid-19 hit but continued to charge our credit cards. Massage envy corporate is useless and just forwards emails to the franchise location. Finally that manager was let go and replaced with Cheryl who is also not good. This is literally the conversation that took place less than 15 minutes ago:M: Hi, I canceled my membership and would like to giif a massage session to someone out of my unused credits that I have to use by the expiration date.Cheryl: you can't do that anymore. You have to request that within the first five days of canceling your membership.M: I don't see that in the cancellation agreement or in the original contract that I signed. This information was not provided to me over the phone or via email when I submitted the cancellation request.Cheryl: it's not written anywhere. we (the staff) know it, but don't advertise it. you have to call us within the first 5 days of canceling and we will be able to transfer credits otherwise we won't.So somehow the customer has to know about this policy without being informed about it in the contract or in the cancellation agreement or in any other way of communication; somehow we are supposed to magically know this. The whole scandal with massage envy franchise should have been a warning to not get a membership with them to begin with. Our mistake to sign up with them. Never again will we use or recommend massage envy to anyone.

Amazing massages, poor front desk. They changed the time of my appointment without asking or confirming, just sending a text 24 hours before saying "reminder that your appointment is scheduled for __ tomorrow" and it was a different time than I had booked. I showed up at the original time and my massage was cut short. Horrible communication and no apology after when I confronted them about it, they basically just said "it is what it is, pay attention to the text message, your original time that you selected doesn't matter"

Amazing massage by Karen! Very safe, everyone wearing masks, all surfaces cleaned, check-in from your car. I wish I had gone in all along during the pandemic! If anyone is considering going in, just GO!

Disappointed with their COVID protocols/practices. During the shut down, there was no communication from the office either via phone or email, yet my card continued to be charged for monthly massages. These massages accumulated as "credits," but I was unable to use them all in time because they had added up so much from the shut down. I believe they should have extended a courtesy due to the pandemic, but they did not. Re comment: I already talked to them. They don't care.

I have been trying to terminate my membership for two years. I have gone in person more than once and both times said it was taken care of, yet I am continually being charged for services. I have provided medical documentation as to why my membership should be terminate (per ME cancellation policy) and have called both the location and corporate which goes directly to an automated message machine. I have emailed the company as well and sent in a request via certified mail and still I am being charged. I have used their services 1 times I’m 2 years yet have paid hundreds of dollars for services I have no received due to continued charges after requesting my membership be canceled. The customer service line also does not answer nor does the franchise owners. This is an ongoing issue with this company as seen in many personal accounts and court hearings. This is a scam. I have tried again and again to rectify this problem (which was said to be “all set” by management at the Framingham location). This is a company wide problem for customers.

My boyfriend is a member at this location, and due to the pandemic he has a lot of credits. We called to book and appointment for the both of us, and he made it clear to Cassie that he would be transferring his credit to pay for my massage. My massage was amazing, Alex was great. After my massage I was charged $105, I was confused and explained to them that my boyfriend had transferred credits to me. They later explained to me that you cannot transfer credits to the same person within six months.I just wish that they had better customer service, and would let people know before booking a massage. My boyfriend waited a whole day to speak to a manager, Cheryl, who stated there was nothing she can do for us. She also stated that she wasn’t there and that was that. She was extremely rude. The cherry on top, is that my boyfriend had a massaged booked for today, and they cancelled it do to “plumbing” issues.Very unsatisfied with the management and front desk at this Framingham location.

To begin with, I'd like to state that the massage therapists are lovely people who do a good job. Its just really unfortunate they have to deal with having Cheryl as a clinic manager. To begin with, I signed up for a membership here in February of 2020. The coronavirus hit the next month. I, like a lot of people, was permanently laid off in July 2020. Since my industry (casinos) wasn't coming back and probably won't be coming back for a long time, I reached out to Massage Envy Corporate to see about cancelling the membership. That's when I started having to deal with Cheryl. I first requested cancellation October 2nd, 2020. After Massage Envy overdrew my account by $50 that month, I requested being able to pay later and was told no. Throughout trying to cancel I was told that I had to get a doctor's note. This is extremely classist in a country without universal healthcare, and also not feasible since I just started a new (albeit much lower paying) job. After requesting a copy of the contract on November 9th, waiting a week, going through the guest relations corporate email, and finally getting a copy of the contract November 16th, I come to find that the contractual language states that you much have a doctors note, OR there be extenuating circumstances. As it turns out, I was intentionally mislead the entire time by Clinic Manager Cheryl, who apparently does not believe that a global pandemic is a good enough extenuating circumstance.Don't give this place your money, and I sincerely hope the massage therapists find a job that isn't working for this woman at this location.

the front desk was very polite and I am very happy with the safety precautions that they have in place to make sure I was safe from covid. my session that I had with Alex was amazing. he really helped with the pain I was having from my sciatica . and also made my shoulders feel amazing. the funny part is I didn't know my shoulders hurt till after I felt the relief

I had a session with Tom and the only bad thing I can say is I should have done a 90 because it wasn't long enough. the front desk was very attentive and answered every question I had which is a very nice difference from the wellesley location which is the reason I had stopped for a while. good job guys keep it up.

Avoid all cost. Clinic smells like a dump! And talking to the front desk on the phone is like talking to a wall. They don’t know what they are doing or saying I received wrong prices like 3 times. Horrible. Luckily my first session was on them and I will not be returning!
