The very best place to learn and enjoy making ceramics! Numerous hand building and wheel throwing classes, plus workshops, private lessons, kids and teen classes. Plenty of open studio hours to create and practice. Inclusive environment with the friendliest, most knowledgeable and helpful group of people EVER!

I did summer course here and really loved learning from my teacher, Beth, but the other male instructor was super discouraging and rude as well. Also the director was super rude or always was in a bad mood. and would not let me buy b-mix class because I was a beginner. This was even after Beth encouraged us to use different types of clay. In the end, Beth had to tell the director to let me use b mix and other clays. The director also THREW out all my pieces that weren't basques or glazed because I was 2 days late to pick up my work after the month long session was over. She doesn't realize some people commuted almost an hour to take thus courseIf Beth was still teaching here, I would still continue here, but she unfortunately moved to another state.I also hope the director has a better attitude and is not so rude to students who PAY to learn.

My daughter was part of this weeks class, let’s say she had a blast and loved the Lisa (the teacher) but the director of the program was than desirable. She was so rude to myself and my mother who picked my daughter up as well. When a 9 year old child looks at you and says “wow she was very rude” then theres a problem. We would do it again but definitely not under this woman.

A place where one can feel at home, alongside others who share the same need to create with clay.

Excellent way as an adult to be introduced to pottery. I thoroughly enjoy David LaPierre's mixed level class!

I took an Introduction to Clay class at Community Kiln and was impressed with the set-up, teacher's knowledge and willingness to help. It's an excellent resource for learning handbuilding and wheel throwing! I was so impressed with them that I signed up my entire family for a workshop and they had a great time! Highly recommended! I can't wait to go back this Fall for more classes.
