I used to love the Avenue C Design and have been trying to get myself to come back since the last time, but cannot.The last time I had went was with my mom when they were holding an event but we mainly went there for the shop. When entering the shop the owner and a couple of other women were behind the counter.While I was towards the front of the store I could hear the owner talking negative about customers that came in that day and so forth. Immediately I was uncomfortable but chose to ignore it because I really just wanted to shop.When it came time to check out my mom and I had well over a $100 in items and the last thing I needed was 2 shirts one for me and one to gift to my friend.I needed a medium shirt for my friend and the only one left was on the Mannequin. While checking out we asked the owner if someone could assist us with taking the shirt off the mannequin and in an unpleasant/impolite manner she told us no. She even said that the shirts run a little smaller so I would probably be better off w a bigger size. For reference I am a bigger girl but I already had my shirt and I needed the medium for my friend. I eventually ended up picking a different style shirt and we left that day feeling very uneasy.My mom did bring up that she believes the owner was behind the counter w her daughter and was just trying to be “cool” in front of her which I do agree could be the case. Either way we had a really bad experience and if anyone does see this from the store please please do better!!!

So happy I found Avenue C. It's winding drive to the farm and so worth the adventure! Lots to see in this store- unique refurnished furniture and wonderful home accents. A nice way to spent an hour browsing. I always come away with something that feels like a one of a kind find.

What a great experience it was shopping here. Multiple artisans work all in one lovely setting. I got some unique and very beautiful gifts for people on my list and some things for myself as well. Highly recommend!
