Gold for over 20+ years. Cancelled my reservation after reserving in Application, no cars at their north attleboro location, called me last night from a unknown number (I never pick them up), did not leave a message. Missed a business meeting in afternoon. You call that service - very disappointing with no recourse or offer for compensation. Tried to put a compliant in - impossible!. And it is not the first time the foxboro location was not available.

They called me the day I was supposed to pick up and told me they had no cars but to come tomorrow. I went the next day, no one was even in the office.

I recently rented an EV for a weekend trip. I informed the person on staff I had never driven one before therefore knew nothing about them. He said, put your foot on the break, touch the button and the car is on. He also showed me where to plug it in, and that was it! I was left on my own (and with help from strangers) to figure out everything else. Like that the key fob needed to be close to the plug and locked, or unlocked, in order to remove the plug from the outlet! (It seems all cars are a little different). He also didn't seem to know anything at all about the different types of charging, AC or DC and DC+, or how and where to find the most convenient charging stations. If he did, he did not share ANY of this information, he was too busy on a personal call while filling out my paperwork. Some stations you need to have a monthly account, others needed a special card. And don't even go near a Tesla station, the charging is completely different! Needless to say it added a lot of stress to what otherwise was set to be a fun weekend. From what I learned on my short trip was Electrify America seems to be the easiest charging stations to use and they are fast charging. EVGO is not user friendly and stay away from ChargeUp! I could not find a single station that I could scan a QR code to use the $20.00 I added to the App so that's just lost money. My suggestion to Hertz is to train your employees to explain everything you need to know if your client TELLS YOU STRAIGHT UP they have never driven and electric car! And make your personal calls when you are not dealing with a client.

The worst, the staff wasn’t here when I had to drop off my vehicle and wasn’t even notified when I picked it up. The customer service is the worst I would pay triple before I ever rent them again. The vehicle battery died and it took 9 hours before they sent someone out to give us a jump. This is worst company from headquarters down.

Horrible service. They keep accepting reservation online and when you go there to pick up they tell you rudely there is nothing available. When you ask why they say that’s above our pay grade.

really easy experience, i returned my rental car 5 days early and got the rate discounted. they let me add my AAA at pickup which was really helpful too. they called to let me know it was an electric vehicle (i didn't notice at first) but luckily my job provides free charging stations.

Set up a reservation for a pickup truck well in advance. I received a confirmation text the day before. A few hours before I was to pick up the vehicle I was told that they did not have any pickup trucks but they were sold out until the following week. They claimed that they tired to reach me multiple times the day before, but my phone does not have any records of calls.

They called me half an hour ago before I arrived to Herz and they told me you should go to North Attleboro because they don’t have a car in stock.They changed the car that I booked. They changed the address I chose for return the car. During the trip, the engine was making noise and the maintenance light was on.

Do not ever rent from this place. Not only do they not have cars to rent but they also don’t maintain their business hours. Also their website will tell you that you’re good to go so you also waste the money getting there Call me to get infuriated and be stranded on a busy road.

Like many others have stated, no one was present during their business hours. Unprofessional simple as that.
