Dr Lord is the best vet! He has taken care of all our animals. My Bailey feels very comfortable with him. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a vet

4 1/2 stars I was fortunate to get an appointment within two weeks of calling to neuter our rabbit. The only issue was receiving different instructions for arrival and what food to bring, partly because I did not speak with the same scheduler. But, I was able to clarify one day prior. The check-in service and communication were good. I also appreciated the hospital considering my travel distance and getting the procedure underway without delay. After surgery: The Vet surgeon was thorough with feedback and recommendations (check-up details, aftercare, diet, and dental). Follow up: The hospital reached out to status his recovery, which is considerate! :o) No issues whatsoever. We will revisit New England Animal Hospital if we cannot find a local vet that services rabbits.

I have had cats for fifty years and have taken them to veterinarians in four different cities. Dr. Dagenais is the most capable, caring doctor I have ever met. I wish he were licensed to take care of people!

It is difficult have an ailing pet during this time as covid lingers. It is very hard getting appointments for a pet that is not a patient or local to the area.Although they were not taking on new patients this center was kind and supportive on the phone. They were there for us to euthanize or cat where others would not.

We had one office visit to check up with my dogs heart worm treatment from his old vet. The vet didn't like the way the old vet did things and wanted more visits with my dog. We needed 6 months of Heartgard treatment. We had a coupon for Chewy.com so we ordered through them. They called the vet for approval but it was denied. We went back to the vet and they wanted to test the dog. We ordered 6 months of Heartgard and they charged us 182 dollars. Their very own online store on the vets website !! charges 111.90 . They charged me almost double. I figured they made a mistake and charged me for 12 months. NOPE . They didn't try to explain why it was almost double. I returned it and canceled my next appointment. I'm taking my dog elsewhere.

I had decided earlier that I wasn't going to leave a review about my less than stellar experience here, HOWEVER, the influx of emails and mailers I have received from you has changed my mind, had you only given my dog this much attention when she was a patient with you I wouldn't feel that this review was necessary. I adopted my dog in May 2020, we had our initial and follow up appointments here. The service is AWFUL, every appt we had we were seen over 20 minutes past our scheduled time, EVERY TIME you call you are put on hold, for a MINIMUM of FIFTEEN minutes, USUALLY LONGER, my longest was FORTY minutes, and then I hung up. The vet was great when we saw him (Dr. Lord), BUT the front office staff ARE A DISASTER!!!! Either they are understaffed OR COMPLETELY MISMANAGED/INCOMPETENT, either way it is UNACCEPTABLE. The constant exasperated excuses (so busy, call outs, emergencies, COVID, blah, blah, blah, always something) about the poor service is pitiful, for the money you are paying it is inexcusable, I wouldn't accept it from my doctor and I will not accept it from my vet, where I am paying cash for service. I have found a new vet, LITERALLY up the road that knows how to manage their business and treat their patients. They are welcoming, prompt in their appointments and answer their phones, IMAGINE? WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! UNLESS a COMPLETE emergency I would recommend going somewhere else.

I'll copy/paste feedback I sent directly to the office on 2/20/21. I'd decided to give them some time to get back to me before I posted publicly - an opportunity, in fairness, to add their response to my review. Unfortunately, nearly a month later, I've not received correspondence. "My interactions with staff were frequent this week, and I felt that my concerns were not being taken seriously; I also found the communication between your staff and doctors to be, unfortunately, lacking. After being told to keep the hospital updated on an ongoing issue with my dog, I was shocked and disappointed to find that Dr. Lord was never given details of said issue (vomiting w/ blood, abnormal bowel movements, disinterest in food, lethargy) before our appointment on Wednesday 2/17. I'd even called prior to the appt. to ask if I should send photo evidence of these symptoms to aid the doctor, as my presence isn't currently allowed inside the office, and was told that he'd call me if he needed them. When he did call post-appt. to let me know a swelling I'd believed conspicuous was simple muscle mass, he was surprised to learn about everything else I'd been calling in about for the last couple of days (these GI issues were THE MOTIVE for the appt. in the first place, the "swelling" was merely something to be checked out as a possible cause or connection). Even more shocking to me was the fact that the doctor didn't bring my dog back in after learning this new information, simply chalking it up to a change in diet causing stomach upset (despite my explaining that I switch up her food regularly with no issue). When I called your emergency line yesterday (2/19), all but begging for my dog to be seen ASAP (as her bowel movements that morning consisted only of moderate amounts of blood with some mucous - which was, in fact, explained to the staff member who took my call), I was placed on a hold which I ended after no less than 11 minutes. I received a call back another 10 minutes after that, a voicemail suggesting a "bland diet with some medication" (the doctor explicitly told me to avoid a bland diet on 2/17, and what exactly would this medication be treating without having received the proper exam when she saw you prior?), "or, if you want, um, we could definitely have you seen, um, on an emergency basis." When your call finally came in, I was already in the midst of a frantic trip to an ER in Swansea - where they asked questions and follow-ups, and had me describe symptoms with detail. A theory was formed based on this information, and subsequent bloodwork (which your office failed to consider doing, for reasons which are beyond my plebeian grasp) revealed indications of Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis, confirming said theory, and for which my dog is currently being treated. To say I'm disappointed from top to bottom would be an understatement. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used as a learning experience with future patients."

I heard NEAH closed. You just knew that was gonna happen. They just bit off more than they could chew. 2 doctors, the quality and compassion was gone quite a while ago. I liked Dr lord for my dogs. He was very knowledgeable in his work. But that place turned into a factory. My dog went in there for a procedure , at 10:00 supposedly took a half hour. It was a heart ultrasound.,No big deal.,He did have heart problems. I finally called at 4:30 and they said I could come get him. He was fine when he went in at 8:00 am. I brought him home and he died 2 hours later. Totally unexpected. They kept him all day in that cage, after they did the half hour test. They said they were " overwhelmed " that day. So my dog spent the last day of his life sitting in a cage at the vet , all alone, when they were done hours before and could have let me spent his last day with him. He maybe would have died regardless, but he sat all alone in that cage until I called to find out what was going on., if I didn't he would have probaby died there. That has bothered me since that happened. They took my last hours with him away from me. I believe they were just too over" overwhelmed " to call me. I wish Dr Lord all the best. He was off for a few days when this happened and is in no way responsible. He was an awesome Doctor. When this happened I had no one to call. People I talked to who went there feel the same way I do, they were getting too big, too fast and gave up their quality of their practice by taking on too much and failed their clients who had been there for years. Sad because I really liked the hospital

What a LOUSY experience I have had the 1st three visits here. I understand COVID is a thing and precautions need to be taken but this is awful! They were not even answering their phone 25 minutes after opening. And If they do answer you are treated like 2nd rate trash and auto placed on a 5 min+ hold. My 1st visit I call up only to IMMEDIATELY be told to hold---12 minutes pass and I am greeted by some swamped receptionist obviously juggling multiple tasks. She was basically useless and could not even the most basic of questions. I drive there and end up waiting for 45 mins just to be told I cannot go inside. After a few back and forths I was eventually allowed inside. They charged me almost 500$ for an xray and some steroids. They literally mark up their meds 10-15 times the rates online. If my regular vet was around I would have NEVER used these scumbags!

I complained on there facebook about a receptionist that always gives me a hard time talks very cocky to me, then I got her family & friends harassing me. I've been going there 28 years & this is what happens when u complain about the staff. You get harassed by there family & friends. Being a receptionist if she gives anyone my address I'll take her to court.

Dr. Lord is such a wonderful vet. Our pets love him and he is always very thorough on our visits. We have sadly lost two pets in the time we have been going to New England Animal Hospital, and Dr Lord was excellent at identifying the issues, getting us to specialist and showing great sympathy for what we were going through. Our other dog had knee issues which he accurately diagnosed and he again pointed us in the right direction for a surgeon that specializes in the area needed. She has had successful surgeries on both legs and is doing great. I value and and respect his advice when it comes to our fur babies. He has been spot on in every situation we have encountered, and is always friendly and personable. I recommend him a million times over.

Dr Lord is an absolute treasure. He has helped me with 3 of my cats and I always feel like he cares so much about them, and me. He is wonderful and kind, he gave me more time with my cats and I can't thank him enough for those memories he gave me. Thank you from Princess and Thank you from Bon Bon. I'll never bring my babies to any other person.
