not the worlds most nicest person very cheap. When buying records from you. his selection could be a lot better More new stuff then used. and every time I've ever been in, there's nobody there I can understand why.

Excellent selection of both new and used vinyl. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable. Great atmosphere if you love music. Max J is definitely my favorite music store!

Max J Records is a smaller shop with TONS of merch. Mostly vinyl and some CDs, cassettes, turntables, and speakers. John is super nice and quite helpful. Worth the hour drive I took to visit his shop after hearing about it on Easy 99.1 FM.

My personal favorite record store. If I could give 6 stars, I would! :) I have been to many places, but this will always be my go-to shop. The most pleasant employees, especially John, help me every time I pay a visit. Max J always has a very large variety of genres and eras including very old records, all the way up to present day releases, and new arrivals that come in constantly. It is also a great place if you’re looking for that rare center piece that you don’t usually come by. Best prices around. Pay this place a visit, you won’t regret it.

Have been coming in since I found this place six months ago. The owner is always helpful, nice to talk music with, and fair in his pricing. I also shop at his competition, located close by, and I probably split my business 50/50, depending upon WHO has the albums that I am looking for at the time. I recently bought a Turntable and two side speakers at Max-J, and he gave me a great price, and the quality (that he helped me choose) was EXCELLENT!
