Visited McGovern Honda to view a two year old pre-owned vehicle they advertised online and once we arrived they said the car wasn't actually available on the lot. We did walk around and found a similar model/year, but the salesperson came back and said they lost the keys to that vehicle and couldn't show it. When we asked to see any of the similar model/year vehicles which were on the lot, they said they didn't have enough info about those vehicles to show it to us. Very sketchy. I'm hoping this wasn't a racial issue, but educated enough to know it was. We considered asking for another salesperson, but not willing to give my business to this type of company.

I never leave reviews, but this needs to be said...Whatever you do, DO NOT purchase a car here. They are thieves. They tried to offer me $4000 less than the KBB value for my car and charge me $2000 above MSRP for a CRV. When all was said and done they handed me a final offer that was $10,000 higher than Parkway Honda for the same exact SUV. They had added all of these extra charges too. When I told them I was not interested and wanted to leave they literally tried to hold me and my car keys hostage at the dealership. Then when I finally got my keys and I was trying to drive away the sleazy manager and salesman were right in my window trying to prevent me from driving away. It was kind of disturbing, creepy and uncomfortable. If I chose them my monthly payment would have been $670. Tomorrow I pick my CRV up at Parkway for $450 a month. I have never been so offended in my life by the way I was at McGovern. They must have thought I'm a total idiot or "just a woman," but the joke was on them. They will try to rob you blind. Anyone leaving 5 star reviews has to either work there or does not realize they got robbed yet. I wish zero stars was an option...

This place is so horrendous I needed to leave another review. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. All car dealerships are dishonest but this place is the WORST. Very deceiving and not helpful in any way once you're done purchasing the vehicle. Bought a vehicle at McGovern Honda in February and started noticing thousand dollar problems months later. Haven't owned this vehicle 1 whole year yet and broke down THREE different times. They have done nothing to help me except tell me to go to a Hyundai dealership because there's nothing they can do at Honda, where I purchased the vehicle. After my second break down they told me to always get towed to where I bought it..... but they can't help me..... Don't get me started on how long you'll have to wait for a service appointment. Did they tell me about the numerous recalls Hyundai has right now on their engines prior to my purchase? NO. THEY ARE DESPICABLE. DO NOT GO HERE. After my second break down I went back to McGovern Honda trying to trade in this terrible vehicle and the manager had his "best" employee help me out. I was told he would be in touch with me when he found the right vehicle for me. I followed up with him twice and he insisted he would find me another vehicle. Months later, NOTHING. You're not their problem anymore after you give them your money. (I never ever ever leave reviews but I feel so passionate about how they mistreated me and this whole situation that I need to warn people of their dishonesty and terrible customer service)

I recently visited McGovern Honda after having a disappointing experience with another Honda Dealership. McGovern restored my faith in Honda. Dennis, on the sales staff was informative, patient, & organized. McGovern had the car I wanted on the lot & I was able to drive out in my new car within hours.

I received a call from Rocky at McGovern Honda regarding my concern and he offered to provide a free replacement cover part for the door handle. He scheduled the replacement for the next day, and the technician successfully replaced it in under an hour. Furthermore, Rocky followed up with me after the door handle cover replacement to ensure the processing went smoothly. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident as they promptly address issues without any hesitation. I wholeheartedly recommend this Honda dealer to anyone.

March 2023 by Anna W.
If I could give ZERO stars, I definitely would. I went in on March 14, 2023 to get brakes done. My check engine light was coming on periodically, so I asked them to check that also. Andy Tay was the "advisor" and Rob Fernandes was the technician. I dropped the car off and waited for a call. When Andy called me back to let me know what all was needed, he informed me that I needed new calipers for the front and back. New brake pads and rotors for the front and back. Basically I needed a complete brake job. $3827.54 That was the first quote. I thought that sounded way too high so I called my brother who was 1800 miles away and told him what was going on. He immediately told me that it was highly unlikely, that I needed 4 new calipers. I guess this is common knowledge to people who are mechanically inclined. (It's rare to need all new calipers) so I called Andy back and told him NOT to do the calipers. This cut my estimate by $1913.77. About an hour later Andy calls me and informs me that the back caliper is seized, and they HAVE to change it, so I gave authorization for them to replace the rear calipers. After the dust settled, my total was $2958.29. Still seemed super high, but it was the Honda dealership, so I guess you pay for the name and the assurance that you're getting your car fixed by ASE certified technicians and they're not going to screw you over BUT!!! None of the parts they put on were actual Honda parts. They were "aftermarket" I didn't even know they could do that! So I brought my P.O.S Honda Element to the DEALER because I thought that was the smart responsible thing to do and they didn't even use Honda parts! Andy said he was trying to save me money. So $3000 for a brake job with no actual Honda parts. I wasn't happy about it but it had to be done. It gets better. The car was ready, and I was happy to get outta there. Before I left, Andy told me that I really really needed to get new calipers for the front. He said they were shot and that if I didn't get it done it was just going to grind my brand new brake pads down. I live about 2 miles from McGovern. The BACK brakes started grinding before I even made it home! Remember, I had new everything on the back. New pads, rotors, AND calipers. There was absolutely NO reason my back brakes should be grinding. I drove to work today March 15, 2023, and on my way home I stopped at a meineke shop and asked them to take a look at the back brakes to see why they were grinding not even 24 hours after I paid $3000 to McGovern Honda for a brake job. They pulled the rear wheel off and found that the E-brake had NOT been adjusted and it was scraping on the inside of the wheel drum. Maybe it's because I don't know anything about cars, but I would assume that the E-brake would be adjusted AFTER new calipers rotors and pads were installed. I could be absolutely wrong but even if that's not part of the process, I feel like it would've been a courtesy for $3000. ALSO, if they had test driven it, or even just spun the wheel while it was on the lift after they were finished, they most certainly would have heard the grinding. The technicians at Meineke did just that. They fixed it in less than 20 minutes, and informed me that the front caliper just needed some grease. They also informed me that calipers can be serviced! They don't need to be replaced If they aren't completely shot. Andy did not tell me this. He told me I definitely needed all new calipers. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I'm a single woman who doesn't know Jack about cars. I feel like Andy knew what he was doing , and he intentionally used language that was very unclear. I'm sure this is a tactic that they teach these guys, but come ON!!! This is a terrible terrible business model because now, I'm going to tell anyone that will listen, about the absolute SCAM your service department has going on. I believe the term is "parts pusher" Times are rough man . I work hard for the little bit of m

Got my state inspection done here and was told I couldn't pass due to having non-factory windshield wipers? Seriously? I've never heard of such a thing, and these same wipers passed inspection last year at this very same place. I even checked the wipers myself and they're still in great condition. No streaking, squeaking, or signs of wear/tear/cracks/rips along the edges or signs of the wipers coming loose. As a result, they tried to upsell me $90 of their factory wipers to replace this one, to which I declined. Safe to say I'm never coming back.EDIT: Day after this incident, I got a call from Rocky. Rather than admit they tried to scam me, they pushed the agenda that non-factory wipers were still not something that is allowed to have for passing a state inspection. Additionally, they tried to give me free wipers if I took down this review - why would I need to replace my wipers if mine are fine? I calmly gave a counter statement to this and declined, to which Rocky said "Ok" and hung up.This was honestly the worst scam tactic they could've pulled. Rather than try to convince me that my wipers are in defective in some way (in which, they're still in great condition), they just flat out told me aftermarket wipers are not allowed. The former reasoning would've raised more skepticism in my claim about them trying to scam me if I were to share these among folks, but they went with the latter reason to try to upsell me their wipers and it's obvious they take me as an easy target to sell their services to. Furthermore, there's nothing within state legislation that says you can't use wipers merely bought from an auto part store. Why even sell wipers at the store in the first place if it weren't allowed for use? This whole thing was silly.EDIT2 (In reply of the google review response I received from the business): Hey, interesting to hear it's now mentioned that it's because my wipers were somehow streaking...I wonder why that statement is brought up now and not before. As I said, the wipers were in great condition still. In fact, after that day, I went somewhere else and had them check it out and got my car inspected there. Safe to say, everything passed and my wipers were completely fine. None of that streaking or squeaking going on! They'll definitely be getting my loyalty for their services, and I'll even get peace of mind knowing they would never charge me $90 for wipers. Hope you take care :)

Our daughter went in for Oil Change and they handed her a laundry list of Recommendation for Service, thousands of dollars. My mechanic services the car every 3,000 miles. The services recommended are a total scam, don't trust these guy.

The service department is beyond horrendous. I cannot believe how much these jerks tried to upsell me for a routine maintenance. Filters, new parts, all this stuff for unreasonably exorbitant prices all while they hold your car hostage and make it sound like you need to literally replace everything or your car will fall apart. I've been to honest dealer service departments and I've been to greedy dishonest ones but I have never been to one as 100% terrible as this one. Never going back here and unless they change everything about how they do business.

Start by checking the Yelp reviews you'll find that they have 3.5 stars, and all their genuine feedback you'll find there. As for their Google and Facebook reviews you'll find that they'll try to guilt trip you into leaving a positive experience while you're in the dealershipMy horrendous experience started on Thursday 6/9/22, and I've already had to drop off my car in a two truck on Tuesday (6/14/22) after Honda got their hands on it for doing a simple transmission flush. The 21 multi point inspection which they claim they did shows that no additional service was needed on Thursday, more specifically the drive belts. (Spoiler** they clearly didn't do an inspection). On Sunday a check engine light for check charge system turned on, as well as my battery light. Fast forward to the following day first thing in the morning after scheduling another maintenance with Honda (at least they can do that right) my car lost its power steering, smoke/steam from the engine, lost its AC, and every single light lit up on my dashboard. Shortly afterwards my car broke down in the middle of the highway on the way to Honda. Luckily I was able to put it on neutral with help of another vehicle who helped me push it to the breakdown lane.Additionally they ran a diagnosis for an issue that clearly shows up when a proper 21 multi point inspection is done, which they claim they did on Thursday. If this was properly done, 1) I wouldn't be charged an additional 140 dollars. 2) I wouldn't have broken down on a busy Highway due to their negligence and incompetence. 3) my safety would not have been at risk. Please avoid at all cost.-Also did not get my free car wash which was supposedly included.
