Bad customer service! Had to go through a lot of verification steps when I already provided them SSN number, checking account number, my identification number but they still did not let me resolve the problem. I have money in my account but couldn’t use it at to pay, even $2!!!

If you hated Eastern bank before like I did you will definitely love them now I have been a customer for years and to be honest didn't like them much but for some reason stuck it out and am very happy for many reasons.but today I went and saw Stella( I believe that washer name sorry if im wrong) i made a bad purchase on internet when I when I called and tried to cancel order they said they couldn't and couldn't refund me but Stella went way over and above called company and got me my refund thankyou Stella

Cannot get anyone to answer the phone at all. Very disappointed, unable to effectively bank with them. Their website is outdated and there is virtually no customer support.

Charles was incredibly helpful helping me open my checking account, he made it very fast a quick in and out and he explained the benefits of the promotion to get up to $300 and your checking account.He also emphasize with the customer by putting himself in the issues.

Customer service at this bank has gone down. If you are searching for a bank who handles your issues in a timely manner go somewhere else.

If your going to change your hours, update them on Yelp and Google nothing worse than walking a mile to the bank on a Sat only to find out instead of having 30 mins till they closed they had been closed already for 30 minutes. Google still had their old hours. And Yelp says they will be open today at 8:30. Really? On Thanksgiving? Cool. Must be open today cuz Google says they open today at 9am.. See my problem?

The customer service is garbage, I waited 45 minutes for a signature to be notarized AND after I wait they take someone else before me WHO just walked in and got me waiting another 25, if your looking for good customer service head on over to citizens. For no reason I should have to wait almost a hour and they take the person who just walked in cuz they're "friends".

We are new to eastern bank but I have family members that are happy with the service and banking options at Eastern bank. That was the reason why my husband and I decided to check this bank in the first place. After few visits, we ended up choosing them, big part was for their customer service.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible customer service. They dont want to help you. Not to mention their ATM doesnt even accept cash. It wont read read BRAND NEW bills or any bills for that matter. They are so willing to close your account whenever you confront them with a problem. If you have credit card bills to pay, forget using Eastern Bank for that. They don't release the money to the credit card company in a timely manner and then they charge you an overdraft fee and the credit card company will charge you late fees as well.

Branch Manager was worthless. His customer service was bad. I went to bank to get printout bank statements that I needed. He told me I can get statements online. I knew that but I needed statements at that moment. He told me first that he can get me statements but not the copies of the checks which doesn't make any sense since copies of checks are part of the statements. I guess he didn't like what I said and suddenly bank system was down. That was really professional from Branch Manager.
