Popped in while exploring Edgartown. Very helpful member of staff behind the counter talked me through the various offerings in this lovely little shop. Unfortunately I never saw the fudge being made.
Bought some Cashew Brittle which lasted me a good week of sugary buttery goodness.

Cute fudge shop in town. Have tried lots of the flavors and in my opinion the ones worth getting are the chocolate, double chocolate and chocolate with walnuts. Have purchased several other flavors to bring home to friends but those 3 are the only flavors people end up eating and I have had to toss the rest. That being said people have really loved the chocolate flavors!

Got fudge here a few years ago and it was delicious, so on our recent trip back to Martha's Vineyard we stopped at the Edgartown store and got some. It was awful...crusty and hard. Nothing like I remembered. Last time we went to the Oak Bluffs store. Wasn't cheap either, two slices almost $24. What a waste of money!

Adding photos and updating my original review. Originally a Michigan operation, Murdick's has been on the Vineyard for 45 years and is now synonymous with the island for both locals and visitors. This Edgartown outlet is one of three shops on the island and, when I stopped by, was serving up dozens of scrumptious fudge flavors in bars that were sized like ginormous biscotti. If you have a huge appetite - or a family to feed - then getting a 3-slice or 5-slice box is the way to go, as it cuts the unit cost down to a reasonable level. Staff were eager to answer any questions when we stopped by, plus there's also an open production area where you could conceivably watch staffers make the fudge. One of many obligatory stops along a row of quaint houses and shopfronts here in Edgartown.

Stopped by before we left to get some fudge to take home. I am glad we did. They have all the traditional flavors of fudge but also have some unique ones too. I loved the cranberry fudge. Staff was friendly and helped up pick 4 pieces to take home.

I want to give Murdick's 5 stars... the Fudge is good and the place is iconic on the Vineyard. BUT for these prices, there should be more than 5 small pieces of pecan in a slice of chocolate pecan fudge. There should be more than 1 marshmallow and 2 small pieces of graham cracker in the S'mores Fudge. And for god's sake, there should be a little peanut butter across the whole slice of chocolate peanut butter fudge. For years I have been telling them they should put more of the stuff inside the fudge... but they don't. And it's really like plain chocolate fudge with a little bit of something... kind of a rip off.

Not good, at all. Some of the worst fudge we have ever had. This clearly a place that only caters to tourist who have never tasted fudge. Flavor was off and likely poorly made (to fast).

I'm not like a fudge expert by any means so I have no frame of reference regarding the quality of their fudge, so take this review with a grain of salt. The place is fine. They have a decent quantity of flavors. We ordered a peanut butter one, a chocolate one, and maybe butter pecan? They give you deals if you order a few different flavors. Holy S*** this s*** is sweet. I need to inject myself with insulin after eating it. Am I eating too much? Maybe I'm eating too much of it but good god.
