Great clothes but shop owner is not a nice person. Very particular about how you browse the clothes and how to leave the dressing room (ie asking people now to touch the clothes and to hang the curtain a certain way). For the prices, I expect a level of customer service instead of feeling like I'm in a prison. I've shopped a few times there and nothings changed.

I love this shop. Katydid is a tiny shop on Main Street. They always have a nice selection of light sun dresses and casual tops for the summer months. Handbags, shawls, etc. That sort of casual summer vibe is abundant here. Dressing rooms are a little wacky, but you can quickly slip things on and off. Staffing is always nice, although they do get busy sometimes, so be patient with them. I bought a pair of pajamas last time I was there.

Dressing rooms offer little to no privacy as the store is so small and cramped. Although the store carried beautiful clothes, the people that work there and rude and it makes me not want to give them my business. The clothes are beautiful but would not return since the employees have no respect for customers.

This is a fantastic store in Edgartown. Kate has a super stylish selection for women. I have shopped here for years and have always enjoyed AMAZING customer service from her or any of her employees. I can't help but respond to the last post. There is nothing snobby about this shop and if there were too many people in the shop and it was said in a way you didn't care for maybe consider that whoever you felt offended by was only looking out for you. Kindness goes a long way, especially during these COVID times like you said so maybe writing the only crummy review on this page full of love is not practicing what you preach. #priorities#alllove

There were no signs posted regarding the number of people allowed in and whoever was working was extremely rude when telling us there were too many people in the store and we'd need to come back later then shut the door behind us. Don't be rude and snobby! Kindness goes a long way, especially during these COVID times.

I was looking for a birthday gift for a 7 year old girl who loves clothes and shoes. I went into Katydid and the owner Kate was so helpful and managed to help me find the perfect set of pj’s that were a major hit at the party! Katydid has something for everyone and I will definitely visit the shop again and again!

Every year when I arrive on the Vineyard, Katydid is always one of my first stops. It is the perfect place to shop for any occasion. For me I go there for all of my summer basics as well as if I have a special occasion. The staff is super helpful picking out the perfect pieces with out being too pushy. Katydid also has a nice size range. In addition to all of Katydid’s clothes, she has lots of accessories and tons of cute gifts perfect for a host gift or a birthday. Definitely pop in the next time you are on the island.

Every year when I arrive on the Vineyard, Katydid is always one of my first stops. It is the perfect place to shop for any occasion. For me I go there for all of my summer basics as well as if I have a special occasion. The staff is super helpful picking out the perfect pieces with out being too pushy. Katydid also has a nice size range. In addition to all of Katydid's clothes, she has lots of accessories and tons of cute gifts perfect for a host gift or a birthday. My favorite boutique on the Vineyard! Tons of super cute tops and sundresses with a nice selection of slightly more formal styles perfect for an event or a wedding. They also have a huge selection of Roller Rabbit PJs including baby and kids which is my go-to when I need a nice gift. Everyone I've met on the sales team is awesome with the right mix of helpful and honest. (No one trying to tell you it looks good when we both know it doesn't lol) The owner Kate is usually there and couldn't be nicer or more knowledgeable. Katydid is one of those local stores there unfortunately aren't a lot of anymore where you know you'll always find something special. The only drawback is it's a little small inside with lots of options so it's worth taking your time to really look through the racks. I always recommend this store to my friends heading to the Vineyard, definitely a "must shop!"

I absolutely LOVE this shop. Everything in the store is beautiful and hip. Reasonable prices and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. If you’re on Martha’s Vineyard this is a must visit place - you won’t regret it!!

If you're on Martha's Vineyard and haven't stopped into Katydid - run, don't walk and check it out! The staff is so friendly and the merchandise is amazing. There is literally something everyone. It's easily one of my favorite shops on the Vineyard
