“I have been going to Gowell’s since I was a child. The homemade candy is incomparable to any other company. When John Wayne was at Mass General Hospital he used to send people to Gowell’s to buy it for him. Go to Gowell’s and treat yourself!!”
“I opened the front door and my childhood was there to greet me. The sugary smells took me back to corner Penny store's and bubble gum machine's . Me and my bestie found ourselves transported back to no responsibility and endless summer fun.”
“Impressive selection! I didn’t ask about sourcing, as I was in a bit of pain and couldn’t stand to chat long, but the chocolate is quite tasty, and the selection is vast.
I especially loved that their Easter bunnies were filled with jelly beans, and they had all manner of molded chocolates. My favorite mold was the fairies. So pretty with white chocolate and colored flowers. ?
Plenty of parking and a beautiful building.

“We love this place! It’s so roomy, fun, bright, and there’s such a great variety of candy to choose from! More importantly, the customer service is amazing.
The two staff members who were working when we visited on 11/23 were friendly, awesome and went above and beyond to find a specific candy one of my daughters was searching for.
She wanted to try a jawbreaker, but there were only two sizes on display: gigantic and mini. With all the varieties of other candies available, we were surprised there were no medium-sized options.
My daughter asked one of the staff if they ever get any other sizes in the store. The girl went around and checked all the storage spaces underneath the display for any other size jawbreakers that hadn’t been put out yet.
There was nothing in those cabinets, but by the time we got to the register, the other girl had searched another area of the store and found a bag of medium-sized jawbreakers!
She was loading them into a container to put out for customers and let my daughter take first pick as we loaded our purchases on to the counter. My daughter was so delighted! She worked on that jawbreaker the whole ride home ?
We will always stop in at this store every time we go to Patriot Place ?????”

“Ice cream was tasty and delicious...I loved the chocolate mariner truffle and my husband loved the peppermint patty. Samples are available for trying....tough to get out without buying some candy...we bought some almond toffee bark.”
