“Great hometown store. Tons of selection in a smaller, yet clean space. Better than the big box stores for a quick shopping trip. And they have fresh baked goods with gluten-free selections too!”

“River Valley Co-op is a great, community-based, sustainability-conscious market. I've been looking for a waste-minimizing, plastic-neutral, locally sourced place to shop for household essentials. There's an extensive selection of organic produce, bulk products, zero Styrofoam butcher counter, non-dairy foods, holistic health vitamins and supplements, fun gadget gifts....and more. Plus, a welcoming atmosphere, helpful employees always have a smile; just good vibes all around.Update: still a great place!”

“I usually don't shop at trader Joe's but they had a few holiday things I wanted to pick up in my first visit they surprisingly had the sought after "jingle jangle" on the second trip it was all gone. Both times the store and parking lot were packed people just seem to not be able to get enough of trader Joe's! I will admit their prices are very good and even though the store was packed there was no wait in line. Great for holiday stuff!”

“Always have wonderful things there. I love going there just for lunch and people watching. However, just recently I ordered a 8 inch two layer birthday cake for my husband. It was beyond good. It was awesome! And the cutest of decorations on top. Finally, I have found a place to order an outstanding birthday cake!”

“Stumbled across this place only minutes after extolling the virtues of Trebor Extra Strong Mints. Fate allowed me to purchase a pack and show their greatness! In all seriousness, great wee shop. Best range I’ve seen in any Irish/British shop in New England. Owner is super helpful and is great craic, chatted away for a good while!I don’t live close but have already made my first online order!”

“This is an interesting spot to visit halfway between Chicopee and Hadley. It is sort of a farm store kind of vibe for me. They offer all sorts of salads by the cup or bowl (e.g., pasta, egg, bean, etc) plus an assortment of sandwiches made to order. You can also buy sweets as sell as pre-made and frozen meal items. They have some different variety's of chips, drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol), hot dogs, etc. they really have something for everyone. They staff are all very nice and accommodating, it's a nice change from make of the other places to get lunch, a family kind of feel. We generally go at least once a week since I found the spot.”

“Unbeatable farmer's market with EVERYTHING you could possibly need. We were blown away by the quality of the local produce and baked goods, but they sell so much more: flowers, prepared foods, meat and cheese, fish, baked goods, candy, local arts and crafts, wine and beer. We loaded up our car and a week later, are still enjoying some of the freshest corn and melon we have ever eaten. The store is also impeccably clean and well run. The staff is very helpful. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.”

“I love this store. It has that old fashioned store feel and the meats are the best in town. The employees are super friendly and they treat their customers like family and the Puza's are all great people.. I recommend going to Pure Foods than to the larger stores for meats and veggies. At Pure Foods we're all family.”

“I am not happy that the price of Bleach is $7.00 Never has the cost been more than $2.50..That is shameful as we are getting our hours at work cut or layoff. I don't shop at Costco or BJ,'s ..I have given you my business for 30 years..You have disappointed me.”

“Ran in here to grab some hot foods for my employees for a luncheon. I had never been in the store before but I will be returning! The hot meals were amazing and homecooked and all of the meats and produce were cheaper and fresher looking than any other grocery store I've been to. Will be coming back for my personal groceries. What an amazing local business!”

“The cashiers are like characters from Portlandia: almost comically snobby and sanctimonious. But I try not to let it ruin the experience of what is otherwise a beautiful store! Wish their seafood selection was as good as the Big Y's (too much farmed fish). If it were, I would shop here much more often!”

“Deals and steals is the best hidden gem of Northampton. They have insanely awesome deals with great options. Also they are generous with community and give to people in need. Love this place and the kind owners.”

“Best. No cap. The folks in the Fish Market are wicked hard workers with a job that requires the standard amount of knowledge, energy and capability for a store like this, and then dou ked over again! All day, hauling ice, working with delicious products that also necessarily require extreme vigilance and hands on manipulation such that the rest of us aren't very interested in doing...and amazingly, even with all of that extra weight across their shoulders, I get a pleasant greeting and welcome smile from each and every person who takes my salmon order. Not a plasticy, forced recitation of some corporate-approved script, a greeting from a person, who then quickly and expertly selects, weighs and packs the good stuff and I know it's not just me, so I suppose I shouldn't have to say it. But service like that really matters and actually makes my day better, encouraging me to pass it forward to the next person I encounter and greet them the same.So Thanks to all the Fish Market personnel and EVERY staff member at Northampton Big Y, your hard and consistant work -even in a period when those traits seem to be disappearing from businesses and their workers- makes Big Y less a choice than an instinct.”

“I love the Big Y and I love that they employ so many locals, particularly young people. Their prices are so high in comparison to others that sometimes I have to make another choice. I know prices are high and rising everywhere but OMG its outta hand here.”

“An excellent recommendation brought me to state street Fruit, Deli, and wine store for lunch. A cornucopia of delicious things. I thoroughly enjoyed a Turkey Smitty with extra avocado; a simple lemon flavoured water, and a walnut brownie.”

“Don't think everything will be a dollar, common sense...some items you should check for expiration date, do your homework, sometimes you are not saving , most of the items found here will be at your supermarket...but some aren't....also avoid the crowds,.”

“Had so much fun with the kids... but was unaware of the early closing time which ended our night without even finishing a single round! Pandemic strikes again! Lol! Prices were reasonably comparable to the event. 2 adults, 2 kids, 4 sets of rental shoes, and 1 round cost 36$”

“Nice and tidy little store with a lot of Korean cuisine to choose from. Friendly proprietor, and they always have hard to find Korean brand food items. Highly recommend a visit, if not to buy, but to peruse. All food items are fresh, clearly labeled, and once again, items you'd need to cook an amazing dinner are always in stock.”

“Cooper’s Corner deli and kitchen department did an outstanding job of catering my event (a memorial at the Bombyx Center). All twelve platters of various foods and homemade desserts were artistically arranged, appetizing, and delicious. I got rave reviews from my guests. The finger sandwiches on mini brioches, Caprese tomato bites, and chocolate-covered strawberries were particularly big hits! A warm thank you to Diane, Cooper’s catering manager, for being so helpful and professional from start to finish!”

The Aldi in Amherst, Massachusetts is an excellent example of what makes this chain great. One of the things that stands out about Aldi is their commitment to offering quality products at low prices. They do this by cutting costs in areas like advertising and store layout, which allows them to pass on savings to their customers. The store in Amherst is no exception, and visitors can find a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and packaged goods at prices that are often lower than those at other supermarkets in the area.Another thing that sets Aldi apart from other supermarkets is their store brand products. Despite their lower prices, Aldi's store brand products are generally of high quality and taste great. The location in Amherst is also clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate.
