I cannot say enough about Steven Allen Jewelers in terms of outstanding customer service. Steve and Ela were a pleasure to work with when I purchased my diamond studs a few years ago, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. Recently I lost one of the studs and had to file an insurance claim and go through quite an ordeal to get it replaced. Steve could not have been more accommodating in getting an exact replacement. He was extraordinarily easy to work with and knows his craft inside and out. He offers sound advice in a genuine and caring manner. He clearly loves what he does and his many years of experience in the field certainly benefit his customers. The store is the ultimate in personal customer service!

I came to Stephen Allen to get some jewelry assessed and do a trade in. The jeweler was very ethical and told me the items he thought were too nice to trade in. I got a fair value for the remainder of my items and was able to trade them in for something nice. He also cleaned all my jewelry and fixed a bracket I didn’t realize was broken for a reasonable price. I will be coming here going forward for my jewelry needs!

Unfortunately we had a not so great experience with this business. My husband brought his ring (originally purchased from Stephen Allen in 2017) in to be resized and when we were contacted to pick the ring up they mentioned they also rhodium plated it and it is an additional cost of $50. We found it odd that they did this without mentioning it or asking us first. I picked up the ring and my husband was unhappy with the new shiny finish since his original ring was a satin finish. Again, we found it strange that they would return the ring to us with a different finish than was given to them. I called and Steve was very accommodating and mentioned they would restore the satin finish free of charge. I brought the ring back and was told by one of the women to “adjust my expectations” because Steve would be doing this by hand. We picked up the ring a week later and it looks okay. You can definitely tell it was done by hand - some spots are rough to the touch. If I had any hope that they could correct the issue further we would go back but it’s not worth another trip at this point.What we are most displeased with is that there was no explanation or apology provided as to why the ring was rhodium plated or modified beyond the resize without our permission in the first place. The woman I dealt with left me with the impression that we were an inconvenience and that WE were somehow in the wrong.This seems to be an isolated incident based on the 5 star reviews but it was unfortunate nonetheless.I wish the option of sending it back to the manufacturer was presented to us originally. It seems that should have been the only solution given the situation. But I was blatantly told this would “NOT be going back to the manufacturer” by one of the sales associates. There have been too many trips spent on this matter and I hate leaving a poor review but this was our experience and the fact that it took a poor review to get to this point is upsetting.

I just brought in my Citizens Watch for service because of a broken pin in the bracelet. When I went in to pick it up they informed me that it was no cost. I am very surprised and will do business with them in the future.

Whenever I go to Stephen Allen Jewelers, for my wife’s engagement ring, for an anniversary gift, to have a watch battery replaced, they treat me like a valued customer. They do such a good job of making sure your happy with your purchase and they never try to do anything other than give you what you want. I can’t say enough good things about Stephen Allen Jewelers.

I have been a customer for over ten years for needs from everything from sterling silver to platinum. Steve has it all. The best part is how he and his staff go above and beyond for customer service. He is the only jeweler I would trust with sentimental pieces to be repaired or modified. He has done both and everything has come out awesome every time. Recently I bought a piece and then later realized it did not fit with what I thought I wanted. No problem Steve and his staff made it work and I am so happy with my piece now. If I could give ten stars I would. Thank you Steve. I will definitely be back.
