Highly recommend ELDOTC! I grew up training dogs with them and when I decided to get my dog, we immediately signed up for classes. The trainers are patient and have so much knowledge! It’s a learning experience for both the owner and the dog and it’s worth putting the time in.

I have trained 5 dogs with the ELDOTC's help. The Trainers are patient and always available to answer questions. There is a commitment necessary by the owner as there is homework to do. The more time and practice you are willing to put in at home the better your results will be. I see the time spent as an investment in my dogs future as part of our family and one of my current dogs is a Therapy dog

ELDOTC has helped train two of my dogs as therapy dogs. Both passed on the first test. The key is practicing, following the tenants and patience. I would recommend this school to anyone. They have helped so many dogs who were seemingly out of control but just needed some discipline and consistency.

My first dog obedience class was in 2006. I had goals for my dog to pass an AKC Canine Good Citizen and train my dog to be a Therapy dog. With the help of the ELDOTC Trainers my dog an I accomplish our goals. Since then I've trained a few generations of my personal dogs. Three of them became certified Therapy dogs. I love that they train you to train your dog. The building block approach sets you and your dog up to succeed. All dogs are individuals and this method works for all dogs. You definitely have to put the work into it. They give you homework so you can continue working the dog during the week. They have assistants helping during class. The instructors are knowledgeable and want you to succeed. Thank you ELDOTC.

They claim they have helpers to work with you if you are having a hard time but they rarely do. Also class moves much to fast ~ they show you one skill and have you do it a couple of times and then move on to next skill before your pup has even mastered the skill~ when ask for a volunteer dog to display new skill with they take the well behaved dog and mine is a pup and they never used her for volunteer purposes. Also have you fill out questionair to state what your dogs problems are I stated mine was she is a lab and to friend;y jumps and struggles to get to other people and animals ~ they did not do anything to help ~ followed a book that I could have bought at the store. Plus they teach commands one way without treats and you are supposed to get on your knees which I can't do and then the next week they change the way to teach the same command and with treats ~ why not teach it with treats the first time around. When I said I was no longer going to be returning (and lose my deposit) they wanted me to just sit and watch the class without my pup being present ~ how is that working with your dog. I was extremely dissappointed in them because they sent out good positive information about their training techniques which weren't true. Also one woman said she would not be able to attend the next class and they said "don't worry about it since you won't be here" So she basically lost out on a lesson she paid for

My nme is Judy, dogs name Izzy. I want to let you know that I’m dropping out of the Thursday night class. I was very disappointed in the structure of the class. Room was too small for so many dogs. I took a dog (not Izzy)for training in the past where the trainer works with the dog along with the owner in a very large room, it actually was fun. It was not stressful like this class is. I feel as though I am owed at least half my fee back. I also have found out that other people have dropped out of the class.
