I have been a customer of this branch for over 30 yrs. When I 1st moved into East Boston and it was EBsavings and still continues now that they have changed over to Rockland trust. Everyone in this branch is exceptionally friendly and very professional unlike some reviews that I've read.

Too share my experience. It's all about the branch manager, some run there branch in a customer friendly and effective manner, while others are unfriendly and represent obstacles when it comes to conducting simple banking business. One branch to stay away from is the South Boston, Andrew Sq.

Clueless and incompetent. This bank is a 24/7 headache. The tellers are clueless or frustrated when it comes to very simple tasks or requests that bigger banks could do in a minute. You will not get functional online banking with this. Steer clear. Save your time.

There is an EBSB branch across the parking lot from where I work; in fact, the company I work for has business account(s) there. When my employer gave me a check for $17.30 (seventeen dollars and thirty cents) I walked across our parking lot to cash it. I was informed that even though my employer banks there, they would not cash the check as it was issued from another bank. $17.30. My employer (a retail establishment) deposits thousands of dollars daily, is STEPS away from the branch, is not good for $17.30?! If that is the kind of service EBSB provides..... good luck!

The only reason they get 1 star is because i need to give them atleast that to write a review, i put all of my cash into the atm as a deposit, on Monday, its Thursday, just got done with my third phone call with the bank wondering where my money is. They told me yesterday it would be available today, well we believed them, my husband went to put gas in the car this morning, no money, couldnt get gas to get to work, he works 45 minutes away so he had to call out of work because our money (our cash deposit) was still not available over 48 hours later, so now not only do i not have my cash deposit available to me but i just lost out on an entire days worth of work. They again today, THURSDAY, told me it will be available tomorrow. We shall see, however im closing my account with them and making sure i do my homework before i open my next account.
