I originally rated Wignall five stars, because they were amazing with my dog. However, since Thrive bought the practice the prices have skyrocketed and we can no longer afford to go here with our cat. As an example, we wanted to get our cat’s floofy butt trimmed for sanitary reasons, and it was going to cost $110. Just to trim around her butt. That’s outrageous. As much as I love the doctors and staff here, we have to start looking for another vet’s office. Really too bad.

This place is awful. My dog has had an upset stomach and hasn’t had a solid stool. We got prescription food and called to ask if it was okay and the lady was extremely rude and demeaning. She made my husband feel like he was an awful dog parent for buying this food. She asked what we had previously been giving him and she told us we shouldn’t be feeding him that and it’s not recommended by the vet. He’s going to be 9 this year and has been on the same food for 8 years and has not had a problem. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s extremely disrespectful to make a dog parent feel like they are less than when all we want is for our dog to feel better. It’s disgusting how people can act like this to helpless dog parents.

First and foremost, I want to point out that Dr. Harvey has always been good to our dog and she is an excellent, compassionate doctor. In fact, our interactions with the medical staff, doctors and nurses, has always been positive. I just wish they all worked at a different clinic. There seems to be major communication problems between people at Wignall. I've had to chase down prescriptions multiple times, we had a fecal test lost and weren't informed for two weeks, the front desk staff is often short and disinterested. To make matters worse, Wignall is far and away the most expensive vet I've ever taken a pet to. They nickel and dime for everything. They find any excuse to get you to come in for additional visits, even if it's for something trivial. They often refuse to dispense medication that should be a standing prescription without a visit. And it's around $100 just to walk in the door. A UTI checkup with no medication dispensed just cost me $361. Then another $41 when the script was ready. It's at the point where we have been priced out of Wignall.Three stars solely because of the quality of medical care, which is always great. We'll miss Dr. Harvey but the frustration and cost have become too much.

They are very expensive but are taking good care of our baby! He has a tooth abscess so they will be taking his tooth.

Wignall was my vet from the time both of my cats were born up until we moved to Florida when they were 11 years old and 9 years old. I’ve now been in Florida for nearly 3 years and have yet to find a vet that is even a fraction of how amazing Wignall was to my two cats. Every single employee from the front desk, to the techs, to the doctor were exceptional! The Wignall team was always knowledgeable, accommodating and loving to both of my cats, something I have failed to find elsewhere since my move. As a cat owner, it has been difficult finding a vet with employees who give the same love, attention, and care to cats as they do dogs. However, everyone at Wignall was able to do that. I cannot recommend them enough!! If you’re looking for a vet for your fur baby, this is the one! I miss Wignall and wish I could fly back to Massachusetts anytime my cats are due for a visit to the vet. I unfortunately have not received the same quality care since moving. Highly recommend!

I boarded my dog for 8 days and it was his first time away from home. I was nervous leaving him and he is already a pretty anxious dog. All the staff took time to answer all my questions and help explain anything I was worried about. I got the same dog back that I brought in which was my main concern. My dog was so happy to see me and looked more comfortable around the staff at pick up time. During his stay I was able to call and check on him to get updates and they posted a few pictures of him on their Facebook which made me feel better seeing him play. I will definitely bring him back if I need to board again. Thank you to Wignall’s amazing and caring staff for taking excellent care of my dog. ?❤️☺️

My cat stayed in their boarding facility, and they took good care of her. I checked a couple of times to find out how she was doing, and the staff was always helpful and courteous. The "front desk" staff are also very thoughtful.

Very disappointed, we were loved bringing our cat here, and recently brought our boy Orange to have his nails trimmed and anal glands expressed thinking it would be as any other visit. Immediately upon arrival my husband realized how one of the techs carried our pet's cage without a care, frightening our cat who normally is pretty calm. When we brought him back home, my husband immediately saw our pet with a slight limp. My husband thought...maybe he didn't like the trimming or maybe having his anal glands expressed bothered him... but eventually the limping became worse and $1000 later after taking him to a 24 hour Hospital from seeing how much pain he was in, barely eating and trying not to apply pressure to his paw....we were told he had a torn ACL. This is not ok nor should this have ever happened. I understand there are mistakes that happen, but to physically hurt an animal to this extent, there should be some sort of explanation and/ or help with resolving it.

I'm not too sure about this place.. my pet passed away at home.. I took her there because it's not far from my home.. first of all. I didn't know there was two different buildings for Wignall on Bridge Street in Dracut.. and if you blink you'll miss it.. Secondly when I was asked if I wanted to receive a receipt from final gift.. they claimed they were having computer issues I looked at me like I had three heads because I wanted a receipt.. then I was told pickups for our animals from final gift is on Mondays and Wednesdays.. today is Thursday and my pet's remains are still at Wignall...Are you kidding me ? I thought I'd be getting my pet by the end of the week or atleast by early next.. final gift hasn't even picked up my dogs remains yet and they went to wignall on Monday.. disgusted and dismayed.. I was all geeked up because the place is right around the corner from my house.. and I still have a dog at home I would have loved l to take there ... No way ! There are such things as emails there are such things as phone calls.. is it too much to inform people of what's going on.? I drive all the way to Derry for my dogs veterinary care.. sounds like that's going to be happening in a little while longer ..

Disappointed. After going here for years, lately the past several times i needed to get my pet in for a visit, they couldn't see us. This caused us to have to go to another vet. Prices have gone up. A nail trim is now$45! And you can't get a nail trim on the weekend which is most convenient for people. My pet already had a yearly exam and they want to charge another exam fee for a simple vaccination. Unfortunately this has caused is to look elsewhere.

This place has consistently bullied their clients. Not only verbally, but also into unnecessary care for their pets. My family was told to put down our dog years ago and that dog still be alive today. A second vet confirmed there is no cancer in our dog. The amount of times I have heard bad things about this place is too many to count. After hearing how they treated another person in office today, this place should be shut down.Dont go here unless you want terrible care for your pets and to be over charged for it. They might also talk about you behind your back in the other room only to apologize for it after you catch them.(separate charge for that)

Horrible service, over priced, staff is very rude! Didn’t feel like my pet was in good hands. The appointments were rushed, the doctor dismissed what I was saying. Horrible place. Don’t recommend

I took my dog here to have a mass on his head looked at. The doctor told us he may need surgery but wasn’t worried about it, he was fine. Didn’t seem like he was in any pain. 6 months later my dog died because of that mass. These people couldn’t even be bothered to do any tests on him to make sure he was really ok. And turns out he was in pain the entire time according to the surgeon who had to put him done. My dog could have had more time if these people had simply done their jobs. I will never go back here and I recommend no one else does either. They don’t care and the price just to see them is not worth it.
