We purchased a 6 drawer chest on June 27, 2022. We wanted it finished and delivered. We were told it would be about 3 weeks. I called back after 3 weeks and was told it did not go to the finisher yet and would be another 3 weeks. I called back after 3 weeks and was told they changed finishers and it would now be another 3 weeks. After 3 weeks i called again and was told it would be another 3 weeks.. I called last week and was told it would be ready for delivery on Friday. I called this week and they now said it will be delivered Monday 9/19..I feel they misled me all along, knowing they could not deliver as promised. TERRIBLE customer service. i will not purchase anything there and will tell my friends about my experience.

The positive - we got exactly what we were looking for (dressers and the under bed storage unit) delivered quickly by friendly fellows. One of the guys pointed out two splits to me should I not want the unit. The price is very fair for what you are getting. The dressers are kits from Vietnam assembled here. The wood is some unknown hardwood of short pieces glued up to make the components. I intend to paint them so this was fine by me but others may not like the look.nThe under bed unit appears to be constructed here using local pine. The dressers require very little preparation for whatever finish you want to use. The not so positive -I purchased the same type of dresser in 2016 so I could compare to the new version. Materials are about the same but drawer slides have been downgraded (and are a p.i.t.a.), drawer construction has also been downgraded no doubt for speed of assembly in Vietnam. The fit and finish of the underbed unit was not great. I used to make furniture like this and loved pocket screws but you really need to clamp parts together before using the screws. Components did not meet well, the base board was a full 1/8" off from the end pieces on one side. Routed components for the top edges was a bit rough and the boards did not meet well requiring sanding to have them look acceptable. Most people wouldn't notice but I did. The quality of the pine for some components that are not seen is common grade with huge knots. Sanding is required of the pine as this is unfinished product. They have done the basic sanding but you will need to do more if you want it to look good and use a sealer if you want it to look good. So, overall, great service, fair price, quality of locally made product needs some attention but is acceptable. Overall, this is a very affordable alternative which you will need to put some sweat equity into. Don't believe me...go up the road to the nearby furniture store! Back to painting.

Wonderful, always quality, always helpful. walked in after an extensive search for chairs to match our dining set and they had them! the minute we pulled up someone greeted us, our eyes had locked on the set and they said dont move a finger, we'll bring it to your truck. they brought them out loaded them in, and made sure they matched our current set (Height/ size/ etc.) They continue to satisfy a returning customer. cant wait to return! Always try Mill Store first, quality, friendly, real people.

I have a corner hutch and a 2 piece hutch . Both were. Purchased in Fall River around 2001 . Still in perfect shape. Sturdy and strong. I would gladly by more if they were closer.

I wouldn’t order anything online that they don’t have in stock. We called 3 weekends in a row and got the same response “our item had arrived and was on the truck and the guys would be taking it off and they would call.” No call. We finally cancelled the order, which they were good about.

I've bought things from Mill Stores in the past but it had been a few years since I've made a purchase. During the quarantine period I decided to tackle cleaning my basement and in finding boxes of books that had been packed away I decided the best way to finally have a chance to read them over the winter was to make them more accessible. I got on the Mill Stores website to check out the options and called Bob to place an order. I ordered two 36"x42" unfinished bookcases thinking I could paint them myself since they'd be kept in the basement. Once I completed the task and started organizing the books, I discovered that I truly didn't have enough room and called up Bob ordering a 3rd bookcase. He had told me the it may take about 2 weeks to get it to me as I live in Rhode Island and they didn't have any other deliveries in this area. I was pleasantly surprised when he called me two days later in the morning asking if I could take a delivery later that day! The same guys were delivering as had originally brought the other two bookcases and greeted me with a "Great to see you again!" Even though they were wearing masks, you could tell there were smiles hidden behind them! Not only does Mill Stores provide a quality product that lasts forever, they employ the most amazing people! As one of the other reviewers had commented, "Bob has got to be one of the nicest people I've ever met". Well, I didn't have the opportunity to meet him due to Covid and my doing all transactions by phone, but he was the nicest to deal with during the entire process! And those who drive and deliver for the company are wonderful representatives of what customer service should be everywhere! I was happy once I realized that my second purchase was made on "Small Business Saturday" as I feel Mill Stores is most certainly a company we should all support!! Give them a try and I will guarantee you will not be disappointed!! Thank you, Thank you for making me smile during this crazy pandemic!! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!!
