We had a great stay at the Doryman Motel! The Innkeeper, David was so kind and accommodating and made sure we had a pleasant stay! Nice big room was great for us as we traveled with our baby and the location was super convenient as well

The owner and staff clearly love and care about the property and their guests. The place is not new -- newness they cannot give you. But they will give you old-fashioned hospitality, which is priceless, and in short supply these days. Even the other guests I saw were happy and friendly. The place is clean. It's located down a quiet, residential street. It's a quick drive to the main highway that runs across the Cape. There's a reason this otherwise ordinary looking motel is so highly rated and consistently recommended.

Such a wonderful place with a big beautiful American flag. Just here to make sure everyone realizes that the last 2 reviews were written by racist idiots.

I have been a guest at the Doryman for over ten years, when Skip and Deb Salvo owned and ran it. Great place and friendly atmosphere. However, there is a new owner who has made some changes and not for the better. First, we had to pay half our bill a month before we arrived. No credit card was accepted, only check. Upon arrival, we had to complete payment in order to get the keys to our room. Not sure why, maybe some guests skipped out of payment or maybe owner needs the cash? Secondly, there were no lounge chairs in the pool area, only uncomfortable plastic Adirondack or small white plastic chairs. Not a welcoming area if you wanted to stay and relax.Thirdly, we could not sit outside our room after 10 pm, as there is a strict "quiet rule." All rooms have a window air conditioner and would block any voices from outside. Finally, there are two flag poles out front. There was a different country flying every few days. Beautiful bright flags. However, the American flag was faded and had a hole in it. "Raising torn flags is seen as incredibly disrespectful. When Old Glory is raised in such a manner, it is viewed as a dismantled piece of cloth other than a symbol of American pride." showallegiance.comThe Doryman is centrally located and is walkable to many venues. However, I will be looking for a more hospitable place in the future.

Not sure what to say or how to say it... But the Doryman is not the same! From the start of the reservation till the day we departed it was HORRIBLE. I so wanted to give it a chance, but the rudeness of the new owners and the tension that he fills the property with is unbearable. It breaks my heart because he knows he as a great spot and he doesn't have to provided hospitality! I will never go back! NOBODY should! Catherine
