Rude guy in the little booth, literally don't have to do anything but assist customers and can't do that without an attitude. Sorry to pull you away from your phone and ask you to do your job

Decent prices and gas Prince really help not sure why the Dedham station has lower prices than the ones in Dorchester and Roxbury it's a shame that we have to pay higher prices

Always easy in and out. Best prices. And customer service. I had a mishap with my rewards card, then I selected wrong octane grade, the guy in the booth was super patient and helpful to me on a Thursday that felt like a Monday. Thank you!

I like using S&S gas because I earn enough points to get 90+/- cents off. Who doesn't like paying a bit less?

Worker Ian was incredibly rude to me for my first time being there. I had issues with my card and wanted to know if I got points taken off because I didn’t see it on my receipt so I went over and asked because I was curious how it worked. I wasn’t sure how it worked since it was my first time. He visibly rolled his eyes and gave immediate unnecessary attitude, then talked to me as if I was a toddler. Think about getting more nice workers, I showed no disrespect whatsoever and asked nicely. What a joke. I wanted to try out the point system because it seemed like a great deal but I’m going back to Speedway after that interaction. Ruined my day. If you notice that guy working there when you go, don’t even bother asking for any help. I heard him being rude to another person while I was there as well before I asked my question.

Closed early and attendant told me I could not get gas. If you close at 9:30, don’t close your pumps at 9:25.

Without any prior notice their refund policy was changed. It is completely understandable that this is a sensitive time given the current health crisis but that thought should also extend to the pockets of the customers, who are also facing hardships and can not afford to lose money in these desperate times. People are being laid off, having hours cut and the last thing that we need is to have to money wasted on groceries that can not be used and can not be returned. If the policy is put in place for the protection of the customers and the employee’s customers should be informed of the new policy as they are making their purchases as to avoid any possible contaminated food being brought into the store by a customer that is unaware that it can not be returned. What also bothered me is that I stood in line and watched them allow the customer in front of me to return her open unwanted deli meat and was allowed to replace it with anything she wanted from the deli yet I was not granted the same courtesy when i was being serviced. I was by the employee that I was only allowed to exchange an item for the exact same product, which is not what I witnessed the previous customer be allowed to do.To make matters worse, the employees that I spoke with regarding my concerns removed their name tag and refused to identify themselves when I asked what their names was. I had the manager paged to the service desk and she also told me that her employee did not have to identify themselves and walked away without completely resolving the issue or properly answering my questions.I’ve worked in retail and I know this is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. Yes, I challenged what she had to say but not once was I disrespectful or did I raise my voice, yet I did not receive the same respect in return.

This particular Stop&Shop location is one of the few establishments I always go back and forth with. Some things about this place are great and others really suck. I will start with the benefits. George and Marianne, the assistant managers, really keep this place going, without them I don't know what kind of mess this place would be in. They resolve any concerns or issues efficiently and effectively, which is always appreciated. Throughout the past year, they have both been able to make so much progress on price accuracy and store cleanliness. I will also say that for the volume of business from this store (if you haven't been here before, you should know it's a busy place and is one of the highest performing stores in the state), they do a great job keeping the shelves well stocked and the store clean and user friendly. I also appreciate the uprising in consumer based technology. This consists of handheld scanners (SCAN IT), brand new "scan and go" stations, and an expanded self checkout area. This specific Stop&Shop has surely worked to improve over time to make shopping the most convenient it can for the high volume of customers it serves. I also use the gas station here quite frequently and have never once had an issue. Now, on the negative. Lines are outrageously long nearly all the time. Basically they only have a few registers open when more are necessary all the time which can be crazy. This had gotten better since the addition of new self checkout machines; however, it's still an issue. On the weekends, it's difficult to even travel through the main aisle because there are so many people waiting in line. The store is in desperate need of a renovation that nearly every other Stop&Shop has received. All of the other stores in the area (Norwood, Walpole, Hyde Park) are much more desirable for shopping since they are so much brighter and more state of the art, due to the fact they all have gotten renovations. This particular store has so much potential if they just made some cosmetic upgrades. Overall, this store is okay, and for the amount of people always here, it's really not bad; however, I much prefer the other nearby locations both more due to their always being less people at each of them and just being nicer stores to shop in. Especially the produce area here... so so dark. Star Market up the road in the Dedham Plaza is certainly the best grocery option in Dedham. 3 stars. A-OK.
