Just got home from the 100th Anniversary Gala at the Dedham Community House and walking through the front door after not having been there for over 3 DECADES, I was rocketed back to the days of my youth when I spent a great deal of time at D.C.H. The fellowship of the event was palpable and the pride in the principles that D.C.H. encompasses is inspiring. The outgoing director of 15 years, Michelle, introduced the new incoming director, who has decades of experience in non profit programs and knows and understands the missions and goals of Dedham Community House).I went to preschool here and I was both nurtured and gently disciplined so that I could LEARN and the wonderful teachers helped form me into the human being that I am today. I went to Dedham Community House summer camp from age 6 to age 12. I made some of my closest friends during those summers days at camp. I learned teamwork, scheduling and routine, listening to directions, sports, crafts, and empathy and compassion for others. I wouldn't trade those days for anything. It's so wonderful to know that D.C.H. is still a place for children to go to be safe and guided. D.C.H. is an important part of our community and I am sure it will be here and thriving 100 years from now. ???

We didn't have a chance to go inside but the outside grounds are very well maintained and my daughter loves their fall festival. It was one of the best we had been to. So many activities!

This place is a wonderful resource for local residents & especially parents in Dedham. They have wonderful programs year round for all ages. Though my favorite is their kids club program which allows parents a date night & kids get to hang with other kids instead of just the babysitter. I've reccomended DCH to many friends/neighbors that live in the area because there is no end to the fun they have. The pool is also very pleasant in the summer time.

Hosted my sister's baby shower here. They set up all of the tables and chairs so all I really had to do was decorate. Staff was nice & helpful. I will definitely be hosting more events here!

We rented the gym for our 1 year old's birthday party and it worked out great. I was in a tizzy trying to find an indoor venue after the forecast predicted our party in the park would be rained out. After calling 20+ places, the Community House answered promptly and worked efficiently to ensure we could have the party less than two days later. The gym was a perfect place to hold a party for kids. They were able to run around and play out of the toy closet. We were also grateful for the chairs and tables that were made available for no extra charge. I'll definitely be remembering them for future parties and would recommend them without hesitation.

Great venue for kids party. I had my Godson's party in the gymnasium, this venue was perfect. I never knew the gymnasium was rentable, I only thought it was the actual house. I also added the jump house, which was a big hit. We were able to unplug it when it came time for our arts and craft for the kids, and plugged it back in when we were done with the activities. We were able to set up the tables the way we wanted so that, we can use the center for the games and activities we had planned. I booked it with Ann who is the Marketing associate, she is very professional and friendly, we stayed in contact via email up about 48 hours prior to my event. We went over the contract the day I signed, and a few days before my event to go over everything such as rules and the start/end time. I met with Frank the facilities Manager in the beginning and at the end of my event, he was also very professional and friendly. Overall the party was great, many people reached out to me on info so they can plan future events at this location. If you want to deal with professional, friendly people I'd definitely say book here. Last thing to keep in mind if you plan on setting up decor/balloons you will need to add additional time to your contract for setting up and also for cleaning up at the end of your event.

My sons 5th birthday party was so fun here. I love the jumpy house add on. So worth the extra charge. I love how you can decorate how youd like and theres pretty much no limitations except you cant serve alcohol of course, without a license. The only thing i didnt like was the scrunch of time they give you to get ready and clean up. Otherwise, it was excellent and the guy who meets you there and comes after is very nice. Would definitely have another party here.

Dedham is a wonderful community! The DCH offers so many programs for residents of all ages throughout the year. We appreciate & enjoy all Dedham has to offer in this friendly little town. Took this photo of DCH because I just love the old buildings, lots of character & so picturesque at sunset.

All three of my children received a great start to their education at the DCH preschool and enjoyed year-after-year at the summer camp. It has all the activities kids would hope for at a summer camp -- swimming, field games, arts & crafts, archery, etc., and even drama. And at an affordable price compared to other area camps. DCH has been a big part of their childhoods and we've been happy there at every stage.

We love the DCH ... our son LOVES the monthly Kid's Club and just finished 3 days at the DCH School Vacation Week day camp ... we feel very lucky to have such a great resource in Dedham! Already making plans to sign him up for 5 days a week Summer Day Camp!
