Everyone at Hiddenbrook is wonderful. Dr. Slaughter has cared for my dog and cat for 7 years. There is no one else I'd trust more with their health and happiness.

Dr Slaughter was extremely attentive to my elderly cat. I was only here for the summer but they were able to fit her in as a new patient to ensure she could continue her Solensia shot and help her arthritis. My cat was quickly changing as her age was catching up to her. Despite one appointment only being a quick tech visit to give another shot, Dr Slaughter met with us for a long time to address my concerns and to ensure my cat was doing well. She ran a blood panel and gave her an IV drip because she was very dehydrated. All of this naturally takes a long time so I'm grateful they made time for her. I received the lab results quickly back too. Dr Slaughter talked me through the results, which I appreciated understanding what's going on at a deeper level. Although I'm still adapting to how best to care for her through these times, Dr Slaughter and her team were comforting that I'm doing okay in helping my cat and gave lots of tips to help her along. She is loving the chicken liver and is healthier with the new food. Thank you for the care my sweet baby!

My wife called to make an appointment with this vet and was told that she needed to give a deposit of $70 before she would be allowed to make an appointment. No deposit, no appointment. So, of course, she gave the vet her credit card number. Not only did we have a sick cat, but my wife was also ill at the time. As it turned out, the day she was supposed to bring the cat in, my wife was admitted to the hospital. After being released from the hospital, she called the vet and asked about the deposit. Was it refundable?Could she use it toward another visit? The answer : sorry, no refund and the deposit can't be used toward another visit. My wife has been rescuing stray and sick cats for over 30 years. We have spent thousands of dollars keeping these animals healthy and happy. But we wont' spend another penny with this vet. There are professionals who see their patients and there are those who only see their patients' wallets.

My cats are newer patients here, but by far the best vet I've ever taken them to. I was so shocked by the negative reviews. Everyone you encounter is always so friendly, they get you in fast at your appointment time, and the vet is very thorough and informative! They send plenty of reminders when it's time for a visit or vaccines. In the end the prices aren't the worst I've seen either. They even offer complimentary nail trims on visits which is super helpful as our cats aren't a fan. This will definitely be our life long vet!

The worst vet in the area. local rescue groups won't even adopt an animal to you if you use them as your vet

The staff were all very kind and professional from the moment we walked in to the moment we left- the vet/asst. were both very gentle and with our cat. I watched them clean the room before and after our visit. I don’t normally leave reviews but I found that the ones posted were mostly negative and made me skeptical to bring my cat here, but I’m glad I did! Such a better fit for us in comparison to our last vet.

Please don't take your beloved pet to this horrific hospital.

I'm very disappointed. Every time my cat has an emergency, they can't see him. And its for something quick. They never accommodate him. Now I'll be calling other vets like usual. And praying someone will get him in. Vets are not supposed to let animals suffer!I'm completely disgusted!

I have been taking my 4 year old Basset Hound to Dr. Slaughter since he was 9 weeks old. The day after he arrived from Missouri in fact. Bassets have their share of health issues and I can say that I always feel like Skipper and I are a priority at Hidden Brook. Dr. Slaughter and her staff love on him like he was their own. And no matter how over the top with worry I am about anything going on with Skipper, they listen and address all his needs! Hidden Brook is clean and an efficiently run veterinary care facility! While costs have gone up in all facets of life these days, Dr. Slaughter always finds ways to help me save money on Skipper’s needs too. I highly recommend Hidden Brook for your veterinary care!

Compassion and and bed side manners are not qualities to expect here. I brought my geriatric cat in for euthanasia, a decision that is difficult to make and the worst day for any pet owner. We were put in, what felt like a closet with odd machines on the counter. It was certainly not like any exam room I've ever seen in a vet's office. We understood that a wellness visit was part of the process. Those services were not rendered: she did not weigh the cat, take it's temperature, or feel his organs. As soon as the Dr. entered, she made it evident that she was not interested in hearing from us why we were there, what we have observed with our cat's declining health.Instead, she wanted to run a series of tests to understand what is going on with the cat. We explained that regardless of the results, treatment for a 14 year old cat was simply not an option. We explained that his quality of life has deteriorated recently and treatment wouldn't likely turn things around or extend the cat's life in a meaningful way.The Dr. insulted us by suggesting we were putting our cat down because he was an inconvenience to us. The treatment we received was terrible. The Dr. was not interested in hearing about our experience and seemed to be more interested in running up the bill by requesting expensive and unnecessary tests. The decision to put a pet down is difficult, emotional, and sad. It's hard to imagine how to make losing a pet more difficult, but Dr. Slaughter did it. She made us feel worse about our course of action with her dismissive approach. My advice: seek out a different vet. This was THE WORST experience and I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what she put us through. We had to find a different vet, one with more compassion and understanding of our situation.

Would NOT recommend to go here. 1st they are NOT friendly at all. 2nd I spend $$$$ on testing and medications for my dog to not only get sick on all 4 meds they changed her on. But to get a 2nd opinion on her and was told she will never recover and she will have to be put down. It's all about the money there. I really don't like putting bad reviews on , but I want to make aware to anyone thinking of coming here.

We started going to Hidden Brook when we got our puppy in August of '22. We have been very happy with the care we have received from Dr. S and her team. Dr. Slaughter takes the time to answer all questions and is very knowledgeable and caring. I find Kim to be extremely responsive to all needs, too. The facility is clean and efficiently run. Highly recommend!

If giving no star was an option they wouldn’t get any! seriously the worst ‘vet’ ….. they’re opened about 3 days a week, if ur animal is sick and needs same day visit …. don’t hold your breath because they won’t make any accommodations. there is 2 worker which 1 is the receptionist! when doing tests on your animal they WILL ask for you to assist and hold them etc because god forbid they have more then 1 licensed dr. they’ll patronize u on things u should do differently with ur animals but fail to remember they’re impossible to get an appt with if you work a 9-5 …. over all if it wasn’t for covid they wouldn’t get a single penny out of my pocket because they lack in all areas especially customer care! i want to know my animals are being treated with care and not just a dollar amount and this ‘vet’ only cares about the $, NOT the well being of you’re animals even if the matter is urgent. if you need a vet in these times ur better off google searching because this place doesn’t know their a*s from their elbow. very disappointed
