Was told Rx would take a half an hour to fill, took my phone # , waited almost 2hours with no message that it was ready. Called and was told it was ready when promised. Meanwhile, no meds while we waited for no reason other than a failed notification system. Unreliable.

Doesn't pick up the phone after half an hour waiting. Happens several times in the past couple of weeks. I go to the actual pharmacy and there's barely a line there. Corporate needs to look into this. They either need to check on the employees, the actual phone queue system, or hire more if they are actually understaffed.

My sons prescription came over super last minute (the hunt for antibiotics) the pharmacy was so busy but they made it so quick for me with the crazy kiddos in toe. They were super nice and helpful and were great with everyone

Before staffing problems it was like a neighborhood pharmacy where the staff knew you. Now it's hit or miss if there is someone who knows more than the basics of the systems. Using the app or website to navigate some services is a gamble at best and getting help at the counter is impossible as they just turn you back to the website. Then you hope that their system is working when you need it.

The slowest pharmacy ever! Even the drive up. Been sitting at drive up AT THE WINDOW for 15 mins. Unacceptable!

Walgreens, Where are the pharmacists? Gave up on long lines at CVS for easy access Walgreens. Beverly store closed, Gloucester Eastern Ave starting closing pharmacy on weekends, and now Danvers has closed drive-up and long lines in store. I went to Urgent Care on Friday and on to pharmacy to pickup my prescription. They asked if I could wait until Monday because they were closing for weekend. Um, no. I am coming from Urgent Care. All the customers had different complaints. Got call ready for pickup, get there not ready. Waiting for hours, closing for days. What is happening?

They need to learn to pick the phone up. There are customers who would like to speak with them about their prescriptions and or ensure their prescription is being filled or is ready to be picked up. Also, this has happened far too many times for me to think of it as just a once in a while thing, It definitely happens on a regular basis at this Walgreens. I have called multiple times over the past month and I have been told that there are two callers in front of me and yet the number of callers remains the same despite waiting for hours. I have literally been waiting for hours before just going down and realizing that no one is picking up the phone. I also was told that they needed my doctor to call for verification on the refill. So, I called my doctor to see what the holdup was and she said she can’t get through nobody ever answers. I went back in and asked if it was the phone in the boiler that’s been ringing nonstop for the last couple of hours and they said yes and I said how do you expect my doctor to get through them. Their response, sorry, we’re busy. That is inexcusable & extremely unprofessional! they also have complained that they are short-staffed. I am certain that that is difficult for everybody there but the customers cannot be paying the price! That happened a couple of weeks ago to me and today I need a refill for a prescription that is sitting there but I can’t get through on the phone. I am certain that my doctor was not able to get through either! I also am certain that when I drive down tomorrow my medication will not be ready.

I have had a few long waits at the drive thru( no one acknowledges/sitting and waiting) but todays experience in store was frustrating and unacceptable. Called to see if my prescription was ready. ( 5th day of covid). Recording states staff is busy with 3 calls in QUE and please wait. I knew it would be a wait as they must be busy/or short staffed. Put my phone on speaker. After 60 minutes I drove down there. Waited in line - still with my phone on speaker. Spoke to pharmacist- she states THEY don't anwser phones . I expl they should shut phones off or have a recording stating this. She didn't really seem to care. No prescription ready as no request. Expl doctor called it in. Come back home - call doctor back. . He states he had trouble getting thru but left message. Hubby goes down for me. No prescription . Nothing came over they state. Pharmacist let's him know he's leaving at 6pm which is 30 minutes. Long story short Got doctor to send to CVS. Hubby picked up prescription in 30 minutes.

This used to be a fantastic pharmacy with an effective, friendly team (especially James!) and now is barely functional. Walgreens corporate is far more interested in maximizing profits than staffing their pharmacies. projected earnings by $500 million last quarter (yes, I checked), the powers-that-be cut staff hours (causing 5 employees to quit the same week) and closed on Sundays - because shareholders trump a patient every time (pun uncharacteristically intended).Sadly, the fact that it's less than 5 minutes from my house has become irrelevant. Medication shortages, overwhelmed staff, open less and less hours and if I want a decent price on retail items I have to buy at least two (because it's always overpriced and BOGO 50% off)? I'm done.

I have never dealt with a pharmacy that has such a lack of competence. The staff is plain RUDE at best. I have 4 prescriptions a month. All are prescribed within a week of each other. I have never been able to pick them all up on the same day, it's always 2 to 5 trips for 4 meds. Last month my prescriptions had the wrong prescriber, unknown doc to me This caused a major malfunction when I went for my appt this month. Now I have been on hold waiting for 1 customer in front of my call which has changed to staff is answering other calls going on 28 minutes now. Once again the highlight of my month fighting with the pharmacy for meds I am out of. This is more than infuriating, my suggestion RUN TO ANOTHER PHARMACY!!

Great store. Very clean. Helpful and professional staff in aisles and at counters too.But the pharmacy is the ultimate best. With Joe, Becky, Jacob, James and all of the rest. They are super respectful, courteous, kind fast and knowledgeable! This includes the entire team. They're AWESOME!!

Walgreens on High St in Danvers has terrible customer service now. I had great experiences there for many of years, but now that they have changed their pharmacists, the management and pharmacy hours the service has been terrible. They don’t answer the phone for pharmacy related questions or your put on hold for 15-20 minutes, or just disconnected. The prescriptions are never ready when I receive a call from them stating they are, and their prices have skyrocketed. It’s so frustrating that I am changing pharmacies.
