We’ve had our 2019 Volvo Xc60 since 2019. We bought it new and we’re so happy with the negotiation and the management at Volvo Danvers in 2019. We went in last week to get a battery replaced in the key because we could no longer start the car. I had tried to replace a battery in my key before and broke off a little piece of plastic and the whole key came apart. I did not want to make the same mistake again so I brought it in. Long story short they couldn’t get the key open, so we waited and waited. Then the battery popped out and they put a little piece of cardboard in the back of the key. I then asked if this happens all the time which they replied “yes this is common with these keys”. Yes the key still works, however it’s a $500 key that broke after having it professionally replaced at the dealership. After talking to the manager they refused to give us a new key after they broke it and told us the only way to get a fully functional key was to buy a new one for $500. For a $500 key, it shouldn’t be made of plastic and break so easily. And when it does break, which obviously happens all the time, the solution offered by the dealership shouldn’t be a piece of cardboard. If you want a volvo, make sure you negotiate that you get at least four keys instead of the two offered. We will never be getting a volvo again because of a the stupid key. If they offered to replace it or Volvo itself came up with a better design for a luxury key, I would happily make my next car a volvo. Very disappointed in the manager. For a luxury car dealership, they’re very cheap. (Everyone else that helped get the keys battery changed was a saint).

Amazing experience! So happy to have learned about this awesome dealership and to have just bought my 4th Volvo here. Rachel was phenomenal- knowledgeable, efficient, thorough, and super responsive. She works hard to deliver all the information I needed and at the same time was not in any way pushing for my decision. Bruce also greeted me with helpful detailed information. The whole team seems to have a wonderful camaraderie that just felt good to be around. Joseph helped give me a ride and was super kind.
