Okay, let’s not judge a book by its cover! The grounds are beautifully kept. The rooms definitely need an overhaul but have all of the standard working amenities. Stayed here for a night due to a wedding at Glen Magna Farms. 8 minutes tops to that venue which is super convenient. The staff is very nice and I learned that they do allow pets! Highly recommend if you’re in a pinch.

It's far to late for me too move rooms, I am utterly exhausted but all of my clothes and pillow from homes smells like stale old cigarettes.
I let the staff know, they tried to tell me it was impossible anyone has ever smoked here.
I absolutely reek of old cigarettes and it is a bummer and I'm glad I didn't bring my kiddos here.
Neither my husband nor I smoke cigarettes too, so we know the smell.
I wish I could have some sort of compensation for sure. I would have stayed somewhere way cheaper if I knew it was going to smell like this.
*EDIT* MONDAY I call back and they'll give me 10% back.
Rooms: Smells like stale old cigarettes.

My husband and I picked out this motel for our 11th anniversary Salem trip. The room was very clean and nice. We loved how the bathroom floor is the exact same tile as our bathroom floor at home which made it feel extra homey for us. We had a room on the second floor. Unfortunately the bed was very creaky and noisy when sitting on it or any kind of moving around. At one point, our room key stopped working, so the clerk had to reset it and they couldn't explain why it happened. When we did leave, I told the housekeeper that our room needed more toilet paper since I didn't know what rooms were being taken care of and I told her that she could take a bottle of water since we had a 24 pack. Unfortunately either she didn't understand me due to a language barrier or she was listening to her music too loud because when we came back, no toilet paper was added. We still had a full roll, but because the current roll was mostly depleted, I wanted some extra. (My husband has IBS) Other than those issues, everything was great including the breakfast. Delicious coffee and wonderful selection of food. Quiet area and beautiful scenery makes it a nice stop for Massachusetts visitors.

Microwave , Fridge , Bathroom ,& TV was all great , just had to go up to the office for Coffee if you wanted or needed one not sure what else was offered cause I didn't go in to there my daughter did . But Great Place when we needed it and way better price than the other local places here near Salem Mass during Halloween Month that were charging Twice the amount we paid ?☠️ Ciao !
Noteworthy details: Right on the Highway Rt 1 in Danvers Mass at Rt 62 and down in back down the small hill road to the right when you enter the front parking lot

Unfortunately, we had to book a room last minute, so we paid twice the regular rate, and we paid 378 dollars. For paying that rate we got a room that had a layer of dust on every surface in the main room, layers of dust on hangers and floor. The bathroom had a tumbleweed of hair on the floor, and we found two long black hairs in the sheets.
This was the most disgusting experience for the highest rate I have ever paid.
Don't book.

Front desk check in and out was great. Location is great to get to Salem early. Quiet all through the night despite being on ground floor.
Rooms were okay in the “you get what you pay for” sense. I brought my own blanket and was sure glad I did. When I took the top blanket off the bed a giant ball of hair was sitting right there. I didn’t complain. I was too tired and already planned on using my own linens.

My sister and I booked a room and didn’t even end up staying. We were there for an hour and had noticed that there was a handprint on the headboard of the bed in addition to eyelashes on the bedside table amongst the normal dirtiness that the state of the room was in. We went to check out due to the room (especially the handprint on the headboard) - we told them about the room and showed pictures. They didn’t even offer to clean the room or offer another room, instead they immediately said “we can’t offer a refund since you were there for an hour.” Then later on they said they couldn’t refund because I had “used the bathroom” the moment I entered the hotel room without apparently inspecting the headboard before doing so. I would rather sleep in the car than here. We ended up staying at a Holiday Inn a little further up north for a little more money but infinitely better in every aspect.

This is a wonderful motel for the price and age. The room was clean, fridge was clean, bed and floors were clean and fresh. I really liked that it had laminate flooring instead of carpet. The front desk clerk who checked us in at about 6 pm was wonderful, he had outstanding customer service, was informative and courteous, they will give you extra towels if you need them and WiFi is included. 29 min from Boston - Logan international. Will be booking again if we come out that way.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I wound up getting assigned a second-floor room in one of the buildings that seemed to be newer. The room was clean, no bugs and I’m pretty diligent about checking. Massive bathtub and very quiet at night even though it’s right off the highway. Check in & check out staff were exceptionally friendly. It’s no Ritz Carlton but it’s exactly what you should expect for the price

I stayed here once several years back and was satisfied with the experience then. This time not. The room was dated and not particularly well maintained. No carpet, just vinyls floor and dated furniture. Bed was comfortable at least. Not particularly clean. I stayed two nights but the room was not made up after the first night. During Covid this wasn’t uncommon but there was no signage in the room indicating this if it’s actually policy. So this lead to needing more towels which they were out of. So reusing towels on the second day that sat on not very clean floors was less than satisfactory. Really the only redeeming factor was a relatively low price.

Location was easy to find but just off highway. Quiet spot I would say. I parked a distance away from my room because handicap parking was In front my door. In all the location service and room was good. Happy that flooring was wood not carpet and heat was welcomed as it was raining cats and dogs and cold outside. Continental Breakfast was as expected a quick light pickup if you want to sleep in.

My reservation 8/23-8/24, We didn't get to stay here due to a unfortunate event in our family. I called to cancel the night of hoping for empathy and understanding. It was out of our control what happened. Sam is TERRIBLE!! he was so rude and insensitive to me. Really going back and forth with me over the phone. Talking over me and speaking aggressively. Even after explaining to him what happened and how I am dealing with a loss. He continued to treat me with no sympathy. I couldn't believe this man was speaking to me like that. cold person. Cindy! she turned the situation around and she was so warm to my situation. Even if I couldn't get a refund. How the agent was just humane and just treated me with empathy was what mattered. Thank you Cindy, seriously! you are the two stars in this review. Wish I can just rate you because you are 5 star. Sam is the reason of the low rating.

The rooms are not really clean.. be very careful when using the microwave it can look so clean in the outside but the inside is disgusting ?
