John is great! He brushes out our cats and clips their nails. He is the only groomer who is able to handle them. E is very gentle and kind! Highly recommend

I've been going John for several years now. He's very dependable, reasonably priced, and does great work. I first went to John shortly after I moved back to the area in 2006. At the time, I had three Old English Sheepdogs. I now have a Standard Poodle and two Goldendoodles. John has treated all of my pooches with great care, and they always come home happy and looking their best!

Worst experience I have ever had with a groomer. Spots where shaved to the skin, patch work cuts. Below the eyes shaved to the skin, behind the legs the same thing.

Terrible. So unfortunate. I walked in for an appointment for my two dogs at 3 and 4- I walk in and was immediately accused of missing my appointment at 2. No hello, no inquiry about any possibility that he himself got the appointment wrong- it was all on me- his paying client- Apparently, what really was happening is they wanted to close shop early- As when I picked up they dogs, again no hello- and thank you- it was like I was messing up there day- to add insult to injury- my dogs are chopped up and the worst I have ever seen them! I can do a better job myself! This was my 4th time at John’s. Last time my dog came back with a terrible ear infection. She is 14, a 10 lb maltipoo! She has been groomed her whole life- never has she looked so bad, and never has she bad an ear infection! My other dog is 7 and been groomed his whole life as well- he has lines and chunks on him also! I don’t understand how any business owner would ever let a dog leave looking so bad. Save your pets! Save getting scolded like a child by the owner- whose work certainly doesn’t give him any wiggle room to be rude to his clients! Try the new place across the street! I will continue to drive to Gentle Touch in Citrus Heights again- where they have continually and consistently given not only my dogs excellent care, but they are just nice too!

Johnny is so good with my dog. I have been to many groomers. Johnny is an animal lover and my little dog Coco is treated so well. She comes home so pretty each time. I do recommend John's pet grooming to everyone who wants their dog well taken cared for and sent home so pretty! Thanks Johnny!
