Showed up for 8 am appointment. Doors still locked at 8:30 and an email at 8:22 saying my tires were out of stock

Worst possible experience. Would give 0 stars if I could. Do not bother with this location not worth saving $ on tires. Purchased tires and scheduled appointment online. Install was scheduled a week later. Bjs sent email confirming appointment the day before install. Shortly after the email the tire center left me a message saying my appointment was cancelled "because nobody will be here tomorrow and I don't know why they would schedule you online". They unilaterally rescheduled my appointment for Sunday at noon. I called back from road and told them I could not make Sunday. They asked when I could make it and I said I need to check schedule. Sunday morning they leave me a message reminding me of the noon appointment that I had already canceled. I called Monday morning and they said we will put you in at 9 this Thursday. I said is this appointment firm and attendant said "yes I just hope they don't schedule anyone online" I responded what do you mean do I have an appointment or not and he said "yes you should be good". I said well "should be good" is not enough do I have a 9am install on Thursday or not and he said yes exactly that's what I said you are schedule for 9 Thursday. Show up Thursday before 9 am and there are 3 people in lobby and lot outside garage is full. Attendant is telling people we will try to get to your car but I'm the only one here. I check in and the attendant says okay it may take me awhile to get to you. I told him I confirmed with him (he was the one who left voice messages and who I then spoke to) and he said "that's not what happened". I had him listen to the voice messages on my phone and he said oh okay well I talk to a lot of people. He told me it's going to be awhile because they booked people online and I said well when I booked online for last week you canceled me and now you are bumping me for online appointments after assuring me Monday I had a confirmed appointment for 9am. I asked him if I can't schedule online and I can't schedule directly with you how the heck do I get an appointment to install my tires?! His response there's nothing I can do I'll get to it when I get to it. I spoke with an assistant manager in the store and explained all of the above. He said yeah the tire department is a problem sorry there's nothing we can do. I said it's not the tire departments fault that only one person is working there and all of these appointments are being booked like somehow it's impossible to figure out how to create an appointment calendar. I said well I spent $1k on tires two weeks ago and you still haven't installed them. I should just cancel them and go elsewhere and he said "okay I can help you with the cancellation if you want". I've been a bjs customer for 25 years and now realize they do not care one iota about their customers. I said I guess I'll just go to Costco and the assistant manager smiled and shrugged as though there's nothing that could be done. It's 11 am and they still have not gotten to my tires and they have taken 4 vehicles in front of me one of which I know had an appointment no earlier than 10 because that's when they pulled into the lot. We need the tires for our thanksgiving trip or I would have left two hours ago. We spend at least $5k a year at bjs but this will be our last purchase.

If I could give less than 1 star I would - they don’t deserve any stars. I made an appointment during the weekend and got caught up in Salem traffic during Halloween.. I was late for the appointment which I took full responsibility for. Asked to reschedule for next day - Sunday. Went in for tire replacement on Sunday only to be told I need to get new lug nuts. Mechanic told me he would close at 1 pm even though the store is open till 4 pm per website. So they asked me to come in on Monday anytime between 8-4 pm and they would accommodate me. Monday is a work day for me, so I went in during lunch and the mechanic argues that he asked me to come between 10-11:30 am which was never discussed. He then goes on to give me a smirk that I’m late and argues with me about the appointment time that I never agreed to, because of my work schedule and meetings. After multiple visits and aggravation with the rude mechanic, I was finally able to get my tires replaced but I would not go back to this location and would definitely like to see the management about their poor customer service and rude attitude!

On a road trip and the manager was the best. Fast friendly and the tech was quick and professional. If it wasn’t for the manager and the amazing tech I would have been late to a wedding. We were driving from a Nashville and we’re very tired. Best experience!!

They do not deserve any stars. The men who work are doing the best to serve the customers. I called set a appointment through the 1 800 number and got two quotes for my tires. One quote I took because Miguel told me they were in stock. They were never in stock when I placed the order. He said he made a appointment and lied to me. I ordered these tires for my mother.Because they are so short staffed its takes 45 minutes to get them. Johnathan was very nice the only one working there and took care of her. Do yourself a favor and go to Town fair tire. Looking forward to seeing the General Manager and Bjs Corporate about this mess.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Showed up at 1:45 P.M for a 2:00 P.M. appointment. One worker doing propane, tires, Clean Harbors pickup, and point of sale. I give him credit for doing 4 jobs at once! Plenty of managers and employees and standing around in the club. Waited 45 minutes before being told the tires are in the facility but they can’t find them anywhere and to come back tomorrow. Management non existent and too incompetent to staff the Tire Center where it’s actually busy instead of the slow club store.

If I could give zero I would , I called to ask for help on some tires I got hung up on. called back.. pick up hang up. called 3rd time the phone gets put down and heard " I'm not trying to work I just got in" then hung up on. This person should be fired! , called his manager and complained, His manager said the kids name is Johnathan.. Johnathan doesn't care if you pay to be a customer because Johnathan clearly gets paid to be rude and to not do his job. I hope you read this Johnathan when you are in line at unemployment!

Another great experience at bjs tire center in Danvers. I got a flat tire yesterday. Bright it in today and they fixed it within an hour. No charge because bjs has free flat repair for the life of the tire.

I purchased a set of tires here last year (Nov 2020) and had a good experience, but trying to make an appointment for routine maintenance has been a nightmare. Absolutely impossible to get anyone on the phone. I have been trying for days and it just rings and rings. Even when trying member services, no one answers. I ended up making an appointment at Town Fair Tire next door and it took less than 5 minutes to get someone on the phone and get an appointment booked for next week. Will not be coming back to this location since their customer service is severely lacking.

Not sure about the service here but can verify it is impossible to get anyone on the phone to schedule service. Not sure why unless they are under-staffed due to Covid but with new automobile sales down due to lack of inventory, most service centers businesses are way up. Can't be generating revenue for them as most people schedule service rather than show up hoping they can get service. Managment needs to address this
