We had gone to bay state animal clinic for almost 11 years. They always gave such great care to our American bulldog and made her feel so special and loved. Over the past 2.5 years she battled Cushings disease and they were so great with helping us navigate that. When we had to finally say goodbye, they were exceptionally tender, kind, and empathetic. I’m so grateful for how they helped make those last moments so peaceful, calm, and full of love.

I don’t mean this lightly, I would never go to this clinic ever again. I thought they were a good clinic and never had any issues but it turns out I was just blessed with a good cat and not a good vet as I thought. It started a year ago when I thought my cat had asthma, I was understanding that cat asthma is not super common and also hard to diagnose so when they suggested that it was a hairball I followed all the recommendations and kept them involved. After several months of communication I started questioning the hairball theory and was told they could do another X-ray. They stated they would need to sedate him but that bloodwork wasn’t necessary because he had just had some done at a very recent physical. Leading up to the X-ray the clinic wouldn’t give me a price, or communicate any details to questions I had. I called several times leading up to the appointment and none of my calls were ever returned, I finally had to wait on hold the day before his appointment until they would answer my questions but they were judgmental and unhelpful and after telling me several times I didn’t need blood work they told me he would now need blood work that would be an additional charge. This all rubbed me the wrong way and I started questioning the need to put my cat under so much sedation for a quick X-ray. They became less and less helpful and more and more rude. The whole experience was horrible. They even told me I would have to buy a $200 inhaler if he did have asthma. After a day of rudeness, bad communication and zero questions actually answered I cancelled and made an appointment at another clinic for the next day. The appointment was quick and easy they did a physical and an X-ray without any sedation at all, for less money than bay state was charging me for the X-ray. They confirmed his airways were clear and they gave me a quick and cheap recommendation that we were to try first and this has been incredibly successful! Im sorry this is so long but I want to be sure people don’t get trapped and manipulate into feeling terrible about their choices for very loved pets.

Great practice!! Thorough, professional, patient and caring…. Dr. Solomon and Lori were terrific and took time to explain everything. Most importantly, my dog was made to feel at home in the hands of his new care providers. Happy to know you’re there for him!

I am so very happy to have found my new "go to" veterinarian. I was with my previous vet for about 15 years, but needed a change. I was a little nervous to make the change, but now feel safe that my pets are under the care of a great group. The staff at BSAC are knowledgeable, professional, kind, responsive and compassionate.

I have been bringing my pets to Bay State since 2004. I love the staff. They always treat me and my boxer like family. I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else.

I have four d Dr Kay to be the most compassionate vet I have ever met. My seventeen year old cat is still here thanks to her and Dr Jensen's good care that gave him.

STAY AWAY! Dr. Hoyt is the most abrasive, heartless not only Dr but woman I have ever come across in my 37 years. It's time for her to retire, her bedside manner is atrocious. Obviously one of the most difficult things to do is put a dog to rest, she is not the person to represent this animal hospital and speak to patients families. She should not be allowed to train techs or even a front desk staff for that matter. I cannot speak to any other vets here, but this woman should not be allowed to practice anymore.

The absolute worst experience of my life today January 27, 2022. Dr. Sullivan not nice !!!!!!!!did not like her don't go ! horrible experience and very upsetting. Had to put my cat down you need to get rid of her. I was told I was the problem

I was told they would not renew my cats cd food prescription because my two cats last annual review was 13 months ago! The cd food is for a life urinary infection requirement! And they are both indoor cats.My last cat who died at 20 years old I was told why it was so sick! Never again with these horrible people!In addition they won’t pick up the phone!!!

We just recently switched over to them and they have seen one of our cats once and did an excellent job on shaving her. Our 3 year old puppy was scheduled to see them but ended up getting sick with liver disease. They not only reached out when they heard he was in the pet hospital but we just received a hand written letter addressing the loss of our sweet puppy. This truly shows how much they care about the animals. Highly recommend!!

Everyone at this office is top notch...they are so nice and very accommodating! They have treated my puppy wonderfully and would recommend them to anyone! I’m glad I have them close by and feel that I can call on them at anytime! 5
