Nick saved us again. December 18th I called and he was here on the 19th and we are up and running after we had the blue screen of death. This is the second time he has helped us out. If your computer dies and you need it fixed call Nick. (This was for our small business so we rely on this machine for everything!)

Nick is very knowledgeable about computers. He really takes the care to fix and understand the problem I was having with my computer. Not super expensive like big brand stores, and just overall quick and easy for me.

The guy who installed stuff at my parents house was completely incompetent, overcharged, wasted me and my fathers time, and on top of that wasn’t vaccinated and didn’t wear a mask. Absolute clown. Never hiring nick shabanoff again.

Have an older Dell desktop running Vista. Might as well be using DOS 2.0! Machine simply refused to boot, and, dummy that I am, was not properly backed up. The computer wasn't important to me, and If I'd been properly backed up I might have just thrown it out, but that really was not an option. Never used Nick before, but walk by his store in West Concord frequently, so I gave him a call. He told me about his schedule and limited time availability. Not a dramatic tale to lead me to believe how much in demand he was; just a straightforward statement so I would not have unrealistic expectations. Within a few days he'd gotten the Dell up and running, cleaned up a few issues and charged me, well, more than I'd hoped, but in hindsight was reasonable. Note that despite laying out more cash that I thought, I still rate him five stars! Machine runs fine, is now properly backed up, and I'd use Nick again if necessary.

WARNING!!!!!!! DO NOT HAVE ANY OF YOUR ELECTRONIC DEVICES REPAIRED HERE, YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF OUT OF HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. I would give zero stars if possible. I brought my MacBook air to Concord Computer Consulting after spilling water on it, the laptop wouldn't turn back on. The owner, Nick, told me he would look at it and see what he could do. He asked if the laptop was not fixable, did I want him to back up the data on my hard drive to an external flash drive (photos, videos, etc.) I said yes. He informed me that the more data that was on the laptop, the more money it would be to back it up onto the flash drive. I said ok, that makes sense. Knowing I only had upwards of 500 photos, maybe 15 short videos, and one movie, I knew there wouldn't be much data to pull off the hard drive. I had only had the laptop for a little over a year, so basically brand new. No specific price was discussed, not an hourly rate, not a base fee, not a diagnostic charge, nothing. It was my own fault for not asking, but having already called multiple computer repair shops in the area I had a good idea of what this would cost. Two shops I called said they charged $0 to simply take apart the laptop and assess the damage. Two other shops said they would charge between $60-$80 to assess the damage on the laptop AND to back up the data from the hard drive. So I'm thinking alright, this is Concord, there's a chance it may be slightly higher in cost. That is a ridiculous understatement. Nick informed me that my computer was dead, the water damage had gotten into the motherboard and that he had backed up the data onto a flash drive for me. He then casually said that my total would be $378!!!!! For what? I was honestly dumbfounded and wasn't sure what to say, I knew he was ripping me off and taking advantage of me (most likely because I'm a small, 24 year old girl who he would imagine knows nothing about fixing computers). So I said "Wow, that's a lot of money. Definitely won't be able to pay for that and also afford to buy a new laptop". So then he says he'll "fiddle around with it" for a bit longer and see if he can get it up and running. Isn't that what he had already been doing? I think when he realized I wouldn't be purchasing a "new" MacBook from him, he changed his tune. Low and behold, he calls an hour later and says that my laptop is up and running! What a miracle....... He claims the only problem is that the battery has 74% charge and won't charge any further. He says I need to replace the "Mac I.O. board" of the battery or something, tells me he can order it for me for $200. HA! I said no thank you. Long story short I ended up being bullied into paying him $250 to get my essentially still broken laptop back, along with 1 16 GB flash drive with 12 GB of data that he claims to have pulled off my hard drive. THIS MAN IS A SCAM ARTIST, DO NOT GO TO CONCORD COMPUTER CONSULTING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS.
