Jay was great to do business with. One shop wouldn’t do the job. Another shop quoted double what Jay did the job for. The communication was excellent considering the job became more than we originally thought, and I was updated daily. He looked in to ways to keep the cost down and most importantly made sure my daughters car was safe. I would highly recommend Rattenbury AutoWorks!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Rattenbury's AutoWorks went over and above our expectations in dealing with a brake issue experienced while on a New England vacation. Although fully booked, a late cancellation enabled Jay, the owner, to diagnose and repair the failed front right tire braking mechanism and allow us to continue our vacation without losing a single day. Both he and his partner were most understanding and above that, friendly and welcoming. I strongly recommend this company for any auto repairs that might arise. We brought a car in to Jay for a pre-sale safety check. He was very friendly, very professional, and very clear explaining the situation to people who don't have a lot of car knowledge. He gave us a very straightforward review of the car's status and a rough estimate of the cost of necessary repairs. We felt that we were in very good hands. While we did not need him to do any repairs on a car this time, I definitely would not hesitate in the future to bring him my car for servicing. Two thumbs way up!

I bring all of my vehicles to Jay. Jay is very good at what he does and he has been doing it for a long time. He is a one man show and very busy, but if you have a chance to speak with him, you can see the passion and pride that he has for his profession. I personally think he really has a passion for older cars. I bring my 72 Buick GS there for whatever I need done. He most recently tracked down an electrical issue I've had for years and I am very happy about that. Pointed out a safety issue with my front-end and took care of that. I don't like my car sitting out in the rain, so if it stays overnight, he stores it inside. If you want an honest mechanic that is very good at what he does, then you'll be in good hands with Jay Rattenbury.
