On 7/25/23 I contracted with Tom McNamara owner of Northeast Synthetic Turf Co. to install artificial turf around my pool and to install a putting green. I was told once they started it would be 4-5 days, and they would start in a couple weeks. On 8/9/23 they drop off a roll of turf. They no showed until 10/19/23. They were 90% finished on 11/8 and I paid the balance. BIG MISTAKE. They promised to come back in the spring and spread Bio Fill on the green, and take care of any problems because of the late fall installation. During the winter, the seams separated, 3 cups in the putting green lifted above the green by an inch, the putting turf separated from the border turf, there were ridges in the turf that needed to be stretched out. I've contacted him since March and still not repaired. The final person to come finish the repair was Matt Francis a project manager. He came to my front door and told me he had to bring new turf for the putting green because, in his professional opinion, it would never roll correctly and would not fit properly. Matt tried his best to put the putting green in place and make it acceptable, but there are nails and blocks all over the place and Matt finally gave up. Tom of course disputes this, saying Matt meant the base material was incorrect. He brought the last 5-7 yards to finish the putting green. Since this process started I've called or texted 30+ times. It's been 11 months, there has been at least 12 no shows where Tom promised he or his men would be here. He continues to promise he will repair, yet he never shows up. $16,000 later, I've yet to do a single putt, it's unusable.
One star is too much. I highly advise anyone looking for a putting green to look ELSEWHERE. I'd love for him to finish what he started, install a new putting green, do the Bio fill he promised at no charge or give me my money back.

Where do I even start. Installation went smooth. Tom and crew showed up on time and very nice and respectful. I was having trouble keeping up with a grassed area in my backyard and he advised me to go with turf and boy was he right. It’s been about 3 years now since installation and the set up looks brand new. That’s 1 star reviews below seriously look like they are from bots. Owner is a great guy who knows the ins and outs of the business. I would recommend this crew 100 times over, if you’re going anywhere but here you’re doing yourself an injustice !

I paid my deposit in January. Was told installation would be March 2. The told March 13th. Then told shipment was routed to wrong location. Then told shipment was in Rochester. Then told "you are not my only customer". Then told March 27th install. Then shown an order placed on 3/25 for "my tuff" - despite being promised install would be 3/27. Now being told I am "being refunded" but no further communication. This guy Tom is either entirely incompetent or a scam artist. No money and No turf. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

READ HIS REVIEWS . He is a scammer.We were contracted for mid-June and he never showed up. Stated it was the weather. He knew it was time sensitive and come November I just want my money back. He offered a refund several times but never came through like a standard scam artist.Took $9000 deposit and went dark, and now we’re going to court to settle

We had a really great experience with Tom and his team who beautifully installed turf in our approx 700 sf backyard space. We have virtually no visible seams, the turf is securely fastened and it looks fantastic! Due to the nature of the business sometimes install delays are necessary particularly due to weather this exceptionally rainy summer, but Tom communicated well and I’m very happy with the job he did—it was well worth waiting for!

Install was ok. I've had problems since. Ryan did come out and address them but then I had problems with the putting green in the fall of 2022 similar to what one reviewer said- not enough nails used. I've got nothing but lip service since and it's still not fixed.

Not a very good install for the price. The green wasn’t staked down nearly enough so when I blew it off to clean with my leaf blower the turf lifts up everywhere.The seam in the green is highly visible and distinguished. The stone dust settled on one side of the green so now the cup is higher then the turf. Should have just done it myself.

When installed, there were two visible seams.Said to give it some time and settle in.I agreed.It never settled in (months later).Has promised to fix (sending my best guy).Never showed,never called.Sent another text, no responseSent another text and set a time and date.Never showed, never called.Texted againNo responseFinally agreed to another date and missed that one (have all documentation to substantiate my comments).Texted and no response again!!Called his cell phone and said something came up.Can I call you back in 5 Minutes?Never called, never showed up.I guess he wants a reputation for this kind of review, but it's factual and I am not happy with his lack of action.I think he tells alote of stories,so many, he cannot remember what he said."BUYERS BEWARE".Not reliable,not fair with his customers.

Northeast synthetic turf company did an excellent job on my putting green install I decided to have them install it in December because I was having an addition put on the back of my house and wanted to get the green in before so we could fit it in around the new foundation when they pour it in the spring during construction I had to roll the green up so they could pour the foundation after The foundation was poured I rolled the putting green back down and it wasn’t quite right and I called Tom and Tom when out of his way to come all the way back to Springfield and redo the green for me.Tom and his crew do excellent work and his pricing is reasonable I would definitely recommend this company for turf installation.Gary C5/8/22

I have had my synthetic turf for 8 years,and I love it!! This is one of the best investments I've ever made after 8 years I had a minor issue and tom sent Ryan and Alex the very next day to fix it I am totally satisfied with the work completed as well as the repairs that were made I highly recommend this company

(July 2021) I entered into a contract with Northeast Synthetic Turf and its owner, Thomas McNamara for the installation of some artificial turf at my home on October 22, 2020. I paid a 50% deposit of $1,100 at the time as required by their contract because I was anxious to get the job completed. I was assured the job would be done quickly and the contract was noted to be completed "ASAP". That deposit was cashed the very same day. For the next 3 months I repeatedly communicated with Mr McNamara by text to determine the installation date and was given one excuse after another. All of the correspondence is documented on my text account. In December, with no work having been done, I requested a refund of my deposit in accordance with the terms of the contract (client is entitled to a refund if the work is not performed within 45 days). Between January and now I received repeated assurances that my deposit would be returned but Mr. McNamara has not followed through. My attorney sent a formal legal request that was never answered. I filed a claim in New Hampshire small claims court and was awarded a judgement in my favor in April due to the fact that Mr. McNamara never responded to the filing.After reviewing the Better Business Bureau and Yelp websites, something I should have done prior to contracting with Mr. McNamara, it is apparent that I am not the only customer that has fallen prey to this behavior. Many others have experienced the same treatment by this man and his company and have voiced their concerns. Earlier this week I also filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I am still waiting for a refund of my $1,100 deposit

BEWARE this company and owner Tom McNamara. He is very unprofessional and full of lies. It's more than a year since I signed the contract with him. He never started the project nor paid my deposit back. I He stopped communication at all. I involved AG office for remediation and he continued to lie to them. He never keeps his word. It's a SCAM! I don't recommend this company and Tom to anyone!

I contacted this company a few days ago and spoke with Tom. Everything started off decent, Tom had me scheduled in a fast manner..... However the day the project was said to be done we received a phone call an hour and a half after the scheduled time from a man saying Tom subcontracted him. My husband spoke to this man who asked that we pay for this project in cash. My husband replied that "no... we spoke to Tom and we are paying via check". The man then says "WHATEVER" to my husband and asked if we were too lazy to go to the bank to get them cash. My husband sarcastically said um yea we are too lazy. The man then said he would accept the check. A few minutes later he calls back to say he is refusing our job unless we pay in cash. My husband tells him not to bother coming, the job is officially canceled. After some research I noticed many complaints about this company via BBB (Better Business Bureau). A company that doesn't want a paper trail is sketchy.

I would not recommend Tom or his services to anyone. As a woman, and a fellow business owner, I was incredible disappointed with Tom and his lack of communication regarding a realistic timeline for installation for a putting green. He came to my house, and provided me with an estimate and I gave him a deposit to do the work, which he told me at the time was about 2-3 weeks out. After 3 weeks I reached out to him to get an update, at which point he told me it would the end of the next week, or the beginning of the following week. I checked in with him at the end of the next week, at which point he said the same thing again, end of the next week or beginning of the following week. I was kind and courteous during our interactions, but clearly frustrated, to which he asked me to please not cancel, and he promised he would be there within 1-2 weeks. I finally got him to agree to a date to come, which I confirmed with him the night prior, and he still did not show up that day. At that point I requested to cancel the installation and am awaiting the refund on my deposit. Given my experience, I would not recommend doing business with Tom or his company.
